I'm not denying you your freedom of speech. I just said the President of MSU will be more impressed by a few well written letters by MSU alumns (potential contributors. I thought the objective here was to protect the professor but if you just want to flout your clout, dont let me get in our way. If it makes you feel good, have at it.
Funny, but that's not "what you said" to me in your initial post. This is:
Unless you are a resident of Michigan and preferably an alum, I don't think spamming the president with email is going to help the professor.
Then, you went on to say:
I thought the objective here was to protect the professor but if you just want to flout your clout, dont let me get in our way. If it makes you feel good, have at it.
You're the buttinski here. My comment to concretebob in post #93, which caused your obnoxious response was:
"You forgot to add that we should contact the Presidednt of Michigan State University and let him/her know that we support and applaud Professor Wichman."
If I want your opinion about who I can write and what I can say, I'll ask. FYI, the objective is to protect the professor and there is no better way to do it than for his superior to hear from the public. Letters from alumns are great, but so are letters from the public since the President of MSU has no way of knowing who will be enrolling there in the future and should care about treating this professor fairly so as not to harm their reputation.
And btw, I've sent many well written letters in my lifetime on behalf of people and/or causes that I support. No one has ever accused me of "flouting my clout." YOU, on the other hand, need to stop flouting your insults.
