I think he was referring back to MSU being called "Moo U" when it was Michigan Agricultural College. I don't believe it became Michigan State University until shortly before I attended back in the 60's.

All things considered it did not turn out so badly for King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans. Twenty-five hundred years later we still honor and praise them for their courage, loyalty, sense of duty and honor, convictions and for knowing that some things are worth fighting for and dying for.

For one moment, when I first read the headline (A Michigan Professor...), I thought my alma mater might have a patriot on the staff. No such luck...leaving me in the uncomfortable position of having to salute E. Lansing, if even briefly :)

It's called freedom of speech, bub, not spamming. One doesn't have to be a resident of Michigan to be concerned about possible and cumulative undue attacks on Prof Wichman. MYOB.

I'm not denying you your freedom of speech. I just said the President of MSU will be more impressed by a few well written letters by MSU alumns (potential contributors. I thought the objective here was to protect the professor but if you just want to flout your clout, dont let me get in our way. If it makes you feel good, have at it.
