Wow, he's going all the way back to the day the NYT article appeared. Andrea hosted MTP. Wilson and Novak were on the program. A week later Novak column comes out.

So my take is that Imus knows very well that Russert is lying but he needs to maintain the relationship, so he has to say he would always trust Russert, but he's lying, but he has no reason to lie (Imus turns into a pretzle at this point.)
Note to Don: If Russert and Libby are both lying, why are you so ready to forgive Russert and not Libby?

My only point is Imus on MSNBC. Morning is my time and I can't imagine even trying to watch any of the local morning programs, CNN, F&F, or anything else (except C-SPAN). You should only watch whatever it is that floats your boat.
I stopped watching IMUS a couple of years ago when he turned soooooo damn CYNICAL against Bush.....now I watch NO MSNBC, not even the Prison stories!!

Just listening to Imus and the crew it's clear they like are totally confused regarding this soap opera.

Good grief, am I the only one in the world who is pretty darn sure Russert is lying, not about the call with Libby which is an utterly meaningless event, but about whether they all knew what was up and this was a concerted effort to make trouble for the Bush Administration.
I'm sure you're not the only one, but you've probably studied it more than others. More than I have, for sure. I just think that before Libby goes to jail there will be more surprises, which could keep him out of jail. The truth will come out.
