Liberals only love us when we are dying.
and I see it as "over the top" and indefensible. But, I'll leave it alone.
Good, because as evidenced by their behavior the last 5 years, its true.
It's common knowledge.
The Daily Imus
Tuesday's Guests:6:29 - Lynn Sherr, 8:29 - Howard Kurtz
Good morning, all. Known Imus guests for today are in the post above this. I woke up to the news that there was a car bomb attack at the US Embassy in Damascus. Will there be a "diplomatic" response?
Lynn Sherr coming up.
I don't think Kurtz will be kind to Katie.
good morning all. Jennifer Dunn on FOX & Friends gives complete report on US embassy bombing. No one killed except the car bombers.
that Kiki football guy is back on FOX & Friends. He is so impressive, always does his homework.
Primary day...rhode Island Chafee race, a toss up.
Maryland..17 candidates viing for Sarbannes senate seat.
Ariz. New York, Arizona. Delaware, Vermont, a few other states involved. Should be an interesting evening.
Jim Maceda is on the way to Damascus. There was a gun battle. They tried to detonate 2 vehicles. Three terrorists killed. Big question is who did this. He doesn't think al Qaeda. Not the level of sophistication.
Earlier, Charles reported something about one person being slightly wounded who was on top of the Chinese embassy. I guess it's nearby and I only half heard what he said.
AP reported that a member of the Chinese embassy was slightly wounded by a stray bullet.
I cracks me up how the flaming liberals loathe FOX NEWS...until they have a book or movie to plug. Alan Alda will be on this morning to hawk his new book.
FOX News is like President Bush, turning the other cheek to cheap shot insults from the far left lunatic fringe. Sometimes.......no, all the time, I'd vote for a little less cheek turning and a little more payback. If I owned FOX News TV, the likes of Alan Alda would never make it on camera.
Didn't Alda play a role recently, on stage or on screen, where he was the ultra right protagonist?
I remember him explaining to someone how difficult it was to play a conservative.
The lovely and intelligent Victoria Toensing is on with Jed Babbin to talk about Fitz and Libby. I will report anything interesting. She has already said that Fitz indicted Libby for not having a good memory.
Hmmm, nothing much really from Vicky, except that she implies that Fitz and Comey may have had it in for Libby in something of a personal way. Comey was at Justice when Libby represented Mark Rich in his pardon. Also, Libby was a forceful proponent of the NSA program. I didn't think it was a very useful interview.
I believe they're taking their 'fair and balanced' motto to the extreme especially inviting the likes of Hillary Clinton to discuss where she was on 9/11, her impressions of the first responders and the quality of air even she had to endure as early as 9/12 when she visited my State. My blood boiled to hear all she claims to have done for the NYPD and NYFD yet attended only one funeral during that horrific time.
Dems were up in arms that our President used 9/11 to politicize it yet Hillary's appearances on MSNBC and Foxnews and Bill invited to speak at Ground Zero meant diddly squat? Had our President remained in DC, instead of honoring the dead IN SILENCE and comforting the families with such compassion, they'd be calling his absence to everyone's attention.
The fact that he chose 9/11 to remind the nation to stay the course was both fitting and proper IMHO.
If Pres. Bush was trying to reunite the country concerning the War on Terror, he failed with the Imus crew. I turned them off after they claimed it was a stunt to get republicans reelected this fall. "United We Stand". I don't think so.
First heard this on CNN using their CNN International feed about 4:30 AM.
Syrian Security Kills Three Attackers Outside U.S. Embassy ^ |

Posted by stm On 09/12/2006 8:39:09 AM EDT Fox News ^ | September 12, 2006 | AP DAMASCUS, Syria Islamic militants attempted to storm the U.S. Embassy in Damascus on Tuesday using automatic rifles, hand grenades and at least one van rigged with explosives, the government said. Four people were killed in the brazen attack, including three of the assailants. |
One of the attackers at the embassy was taken into custody. I'll bet he is having a very bad day.
Cheap partisan politics is what Hatch is calling the dems for complaining about GWB's speech last night saying one can't discuss 9/11 without discussing the war on terror. He suggests they get off their high horses and begin working with pubbies to get something done instead of complaining at every turn. Amen.
Clarke, who served under both Clinton and George W. Bush and now works for ABC News, was equally scathing.
"As someone who was directly involved in almost every event depicted in the fictionalized docudrama The Path to 9/11, I believe it is an egregious distortion that does a deep disservice both to history and to those in both the Clinton and Bush administrations who are depicted," Clarke said in a written statement.
I thought they portrayed him too kindly?
Orrin sounded quite angry. It's about time the side that wants to win this thing starts taking a stick to those who are doing things to make it more difficult than it already is.

She blew away the competition in her debut last Tuesday. And if you missed a chance to see her, you have only yourself to blame. CBS turned itself into the Couric Broadcasting System. CBS Last Tuesday Katie Couric was the darling of television news. But now? But now the early returns have people wondering if the network didn't overplay its hand. Couric debuted as new anchor of the nightly news with a bang, handily out-polling NBC and ABC. But her numbers have fallen steadily since and the Drudge Report is saying... |
