One more day good morning ping. For your listening (and watchng) pleasure, we have:
At 6:29am eastern we're going to welcome our old friend.. and longtime I-Fave, Jim Lehrer to the show. We'll see what the PBS newsman and worldclass moderator has to say about the election and the prospects for a dramatic shift in power.
Evan Thomas of Newsweek magazine will be the guest at 7:29am eastern.
Also on deck are Jim Nantz and Delbert McClinton.
Thomas Sowell recaps some of the democrat media outrages that we have had to endure here:
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2006/11/06/cast_of_characters_part_iv
Evan Thomas says that Jim Webb makes women nervous because he radiates the aura of a warrior. So, is that it, ladies, or do our warriors make you go *thud*? I think with Webb it's the ick factor that is giving him problems.
At one point Charles said to him. "you've got to not let this ruin your Christmas though". He, he, he. To turn one of Imus's quotes against him, "we're not happy until yuor not happy".
Imus is also p*ssed that "those idiots at MSNBC" have taken up the whole cavern with their stupid erection coverage and Delbert McClinton's band won't be able to play their tomorrow.
Oddly, little mention of Saddam's conviction on MSNBC.
Harold Ford, Jr. is on the line. He says don't worry about the Zogby poll, he has one showing him ahead. He's been attacked and lied about, he says. He campaigned with Clinton in a church and then says that his opponent attacked him for going to church. LOL. He's got that "winning feeling." Says he's won the early voting.
Matthews: 'I'm Smiling Because I Think It's Going To Be a Wipe-Out'.
and
Thought y'all might enjoy seeing these articles re:Chrissy. He is a LOSER. Who can't shut his spitty mouth. Period.
Thanks to anita who posted these on the Sunday morning thread.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7
I agree with Bob Novak and Craig Crawford, Harold Ford, Jr comes across as a phoney baloney flim flam man when he tries to make voters think he's a preacher man. At some point in time I hope the hand wringing talking heads will admit they were wrong saying the play boy ad was racist. I hope they will admit they knew all along it was about Ford's Jesus boy hypocrisy.
LOL as Imus ask Craig Crawford if he's "still single". Of course he's single, Imus, he's gay. (that's my opinion, any way).
TODAY SHOW opens with senate races.
Missouri mosst expensive senate race.
reporter Kibble tells Meredith the stem cell reseearch amendment might be determining factor. She asked, mentioning Rush, of course
Lauer covers Tennessee, Tom Costello the reporter. It's a "hard fought race", racist ads, but the state has a habit of voting republican, Corker up 12 in one poll. Critical will be all the early voting, 40% have done so, and may have taken place when Ford was ahead in the polls.
David Shuster, hte Allen=Webb reporter, starts out with Allen missteps, but says the war is the big issue, Vote will show just how angry voters are.
Ken Melman v Terry McCauliff, LOL becausse Howard Dean couldn't fit the appearance into his schedule. Lauer said that with a straight face.
"Big day for democrats", said Terry.
Mehlman told everyone to vote, and said we saw a surge over the week-end.
Lauer asked about the 4 point difference now shown in how people will vote. 4 point was over 20 points just days ago, what's happened, Lauer asked?
Grinning McAuliffee explains the republican surge isn't really happening. He said yesterday CNN showed us 20 points ahead, is his proof.
Lauer shows a ridiculous, boastful Howard Dean quote promising all sorts of things. McAuliffe explains but doesn't comment on Dean's promise to capture bin Laden, or other ridiculous promises.
Mehlman is fabulous, btw, effortlessly, and with humor swats away Lauer's final question.
OHMIGAWD, Russert is now on Today, with his stupid marker board.
Sorry to be late. I wanted to be at the polling place when it openend. VOTE!
Honey and I will vote today about 10 am, a little later than normal because we are giving a ride to a sickly neighbor.
What a privilege and pleasure it is to vote!
Oh my, it sounds like Chrissy didn't do a very good job as moderator.
Tony Snow: "In Washington, you can't take friendship personally."
Michael Kinsley apparently has an article our this morning. Tony didn't say where it was.
I so hope IMUS will do a repeat showing of Faith Hill's angry reaction when at last night's CMA Music Awards, Carrie Underwood's name was called as winner for Female Vocalist of the Year. What fun!!
The clip IMUS shows is a split screen with all the nominees (ala Brady Bunch), visible. All the nominees react with gracious claps and smiles as Underwood's name is called. All except Faith Hill. She seems to be screaming, "WHAT???" in disbelief, then she storms off camera.
LOL. I would have watched to see that.
I'm mentioning the Faith Hill flap only for comic relief on what will be a long day. (And if Faith Hill and Tim McGraw hadn't been so vocal in dissing President Bush, I wouldn't take such pleasure in Hill embarrassing herself like this: Here's even more:
"CMA Awards Shocker Carrie Underwood Wins, Faith Hill Storms Off
The biggest news coming out of the CMA Awards isnt about who won what award. Its about how Faith Hill reacted when Carrie Underwood won the Female Vocalist of the Year award. When Carrie Underwood was announced as the winner, Faith Hill threw her hands up into the air, yelled at the camera, and then stormed off. Faith Hills words were not audible, but she appeared to be screaming What!....."
http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/blog/2006/11/cma_awards_shoc.html
Well, we need little Dickie Durban having the same reaction as Ms. Hill, and Schmuckie, and most of all, that Pelosi woman.
Russert actually sounded calm and rational. He said this is better than Christmas. At Christmas you open the packages and it's done. This will last all day.
I heard the Faith Hill conversation, but when they played the video it didn't work well on the radio. Maybe I'll find it on the Net.
