If his death were something we could learn from, then perhaps it would merit showing. But it sounds like this was a total freak accident. No point, IMO.

If they release it, then it will be what he is remembered for primarily in the long run.

Don't release it, let him be remembered for his work, not a 10 second tape of his death.

I'm not so sure it shows his death, as such - just him losing consciousness. I know that's splitting hairs, because we know now that he died a little later.

From what I've read in all the stories, the tape ends when he passes out. Others reported that he was still alive when taken to the boat 2 minutes later, but never regained consciousness.
