Two issues right off the bat here:

Clinton, you played “ring around the Lewinsky” while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia,

Bush the Elder got us into Somalia.

No Commander in Chief, you don't get off the hook either. Our country has two enemies. Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It’s your obligation to support them by confronting the axis of idiots. America must hear it from you that these people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets

It seems Bush has been doing both - the feds are investigating the leakers, and Bush and his lieutennants have been pounding away at the cut-and-runners, witness the squalls of indignation from their targets recently.

As much as I agree with the sentiment and tone of the article, it's too bad somebody didn't fix a couple misspellings, etc., and check the facts just a little bit better (Somalia).

The trick is will they PROSECUTE some people when they find the guilty parties? Investigating to kill time until we forget isn't going to cut it.

You're right in Bush 41 getting us into Somalia, but it was Clinton and our being inept in the UN that created the problems leading up to the deaths in our military. Reduction of force in the face of potential problems was not a good decision, IMHO. Plus, the refusal to support and refusal to send in heavier vehicles played a big part of it. The point remains, Democrats cannot be entrusted with leading the nation if we don't want something like this to happen again.

<< (President George Herbert Walker) Bush ... got us into Somalia. >>

But it was Cli'ton, as the Good Sergeant Major has correctly and in short and simple words, spelled it out, got us into a fight with the Somali islamanazis.

<< ... It seems Bush has been doing both ... >>

It seems from over here that President George Walker Bush has rehabilitated every member of the Cli'ton Gang, beginning with its snake-like heads, who instead deserved at the very least to be sent beyond the pale -- and most of them to long terms in prison. And that he has been "fighting" the war in an American-Serviceman-intensive perfumed-prince-like "PC" manner and has recently, by allowing Iran and Syria to escape the consequences of behaving as they have, totally repudiated his own bold and courageous and absolutely essential Bush Doctrine.

One thanks God for him, that is -- and thanks Him every single day -- but only when one contemplates the "Democrats" offered alternatives.

I might be off on my history, but as I remember it, Bush 41 succumbed to MSM weeping and landed troops in Mogadishu to protect NGO's distributing food during the famine there. I thought it was after Clinton arrived on the scene that the decision was made to go after Mohammad Farah Aidid, which resulting in actual fighting and our withdrawal (this time based on MSM howling). 'Course I'm relying on memory rather than research, so I could be wrong.

Mr. Allen,

I'm sorry but i could not help but comment on this. President George Bush Sr. did not get us into Somalia. If anything he prevented actions from getting worse. we were brought into that conflict and lost quite a few soldiers due to democratic President Clinton's ability to turn his cheek to every international problem that presented itself. if he would have been like President Bush Sr and acted upon the situation with force from the beginning, the situation in Somalia would not have been as bad as it was. Also what id like to add is that if he had been smart and left the Marines in there the entire time, then things would have been fully under control. nothing happened in the time marines were there. its only when they leave, the enemy has the nerve to step up. Also what we have seen from the war we are in now, for some reason the Army has problems occupying cities after the Marines clear it out. This incompetency makes marines have to constantly backtrack hence why the war is dragging on!
