A passenger revolt occurred on a Malaga-Manchester flight. Vacationing Brits refused to fly with two Arabic-speaking men. This came in the wake of arrests of 21 British-born Muslims who were plotting to blow up as many as 11 trans-Atlantic flights.
A spokesman for Britain’s opposition Tory party said the passengers panicked into “behaving irrationally.” Fancy that, not wanting to fly with members of a faith whose adherents keep trying to blow things up. Oh, how irrational!
Within days of this incident, a Lebanese student was arrested for trying to plant bombs on German trains. In India, meanwhile, a group with alleged ties to al-Qaeda threatened to blow up the 17th century Taj Mahal.
If Muslims make travelers nervous, it’s not without cause.
Would you be more likely to have an anxiety attack at 20,000 feet if the passenger seated next to you was: A) An Irish nun saying the Rosary? B) A Mormon missionary in regulation white shirt and narrow, black tie? C) A Hari Krishna in a standard-issue saffron robe? or D) A bearded bloke of Middle Eastern complexion holding a well-thumbed Koran?
When you hear of a terrorist incident, is the first thought that pops into your head: Probably some crazy Muslim? Guess what? It probably was some crazy Muslim!

Beware - Allah has not one attribute of love for Muslims:

This should be a another sign to you that who you bow down to in Islam is really not whom the imams, mullahs and ayatollah's say he is. Look through the Qur'an - there is no attribute of unconditional love accorded Allah to his Muslims--but once. Ironically, in Sura 20:390 Allah does unconditionally say he loves one man - the Hebrew Moses.
Another "red flag" is that there is not one place in either the Muslim Qur'an or even in the much later made up Hadith's that teaches Muslims to have a loving relationship with Allah. This Allah is to only be feared by Muslims.
Will all Muslims go to Hell? According to Sura 19:71 every Muslim will go to Hell (for at least some time), while another passage states that those who die in Jihad will go to Paradise immediately.

Curiously, there was no great Muslim outcry when Paris was going up in flames or when the towers fell on 9/11...but I sure remember a large Muslim outcry when cartoons of their pedophile "prophet" (pigs be upon him) were published.

Very well, thanks. Dunno if you saw some of the more recent news...
Maybe my compassion for my neighbor has to do with the fact that I am an American Serb. I recall when the Balkan wars were going on and I'd go to the doctor's office or somewhere where I got asked "what nationality" my last name was. When I said "Serbian", I recall the looks I got -- and the "Oh" that made me feel about an inch tall. And I had nothing to do with what happened over there. I was born here and my family came from over there nearly 100 years ago. Nor had Serbs ever done a damn thing against the US.
Being a conservative does not mean being a fascist or having an excuse for being an uncompassionate ass. There is a bit of difference when you talk about these situations "in theory" vs. a face-to-face interaction.
Yes, it is wise to be cautious, especially these days. And, no I don't berate myself for that caution, but I also think that the word "sleeper cell" was thrown out there without enough info to make intelligent assessments at a time when Americans were already scared after 9/11. Now every "Arab", including Christians and those who have been here for generations, get the same once-over -- and not even politely. Danny Thomas would be given a once over today if you didn't know who he was! Understandable -- yes. But I wouldn't want to be him.
I seriously doubt that my neighbor is "a sleeper". He's been in the US since he was three years-old. His whole family --including his parents -- are here in the US and have been here for over 30 years. His four brothers include two American corporation presidents, a doctors & a prominent attorney, all spread across the US and all married with their own families. My neighbor says that he is "the screw up" of the family and yet, at age 34, while working like a dog, managed to buy a $700K ranch for his wife and two kids.
From everything I have read, this jihad against the West actually began with the Iranian revolution in the late 1970's, where they decided that they would rather be "first at Islamic jihad" in the Moslem world, rather than be a "third-rate Western wanna-be". It spread from there to the Arab countries and really gained steam when we sponsored guys like bin Laden against the USSR and they learned our methods back in the 1980's.
My neihbor was a baby, already in the US, before the "jihad against the West" even reached the Arab countries. He is not "a candidate".
