A bandage across his broken nose, Michael Katch was back in north Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon, knocking on doors and handing out literature for his state House campaign.
State Senate candidate Jim Lilly also plans to return to the city's North Side, though probably without his wife, who was campaigning Saturday when shots were fired nearby.
Katch and Lilly both had personal tastes of the crime plaguing the area while canvassing neighborhoods the past two days.

Katch said the attack has not changed his belief that struggling and dangerous young people in the area can be saved, especially with the aid of good job and education opportunities. "I still believe that, even after getting hit in the face, and hit in the face and hit in the face," Katch said. What a dope!

Flipping around the TV channels last night, I saw Bill Maher on Larry King and he mentioned that the Dems need to reach the people who don't vote instead of trying to convince Republican-leaning moderates. LOL. Go Bill Go.
