Editor's note: This Letter of the Week is in response to a letter to the editor that appeared Aug. 29. It is reprinted here for the reader's convenience: Just thought you'd like to know that most, if not all, medical personnel here in Miami are endorsing and voting for Charlie Crist for governor. I'm a physician in Miami and my colleagues, both doctors and nurses, have been strong advocates against any public official who had the audacity to interfere in what should have been a family medical decision. Yes, that's right. Our hospital had a poll two weeks ago which showed that 96 percent of us are voting for Crist, and we hold politicians accountable. Terri Schiavo had the cognition of a bag of lettuce. We've had many cases like hers since, but we're smarter now. We'll never let the religious fright know. The psychochristians, like you, have no place in the medical field. Neither do ignoramuses like the Schindlers. If you're interested, we're having a huge celebration after Charlie wins next week. Gallagher doesn't have a chance in hell of winning. Sorry!

I find it unlikely in the extreme that the original letter was written by any physician. Unless someone can come up with a real identity here, I'm calling this as an inflammatory letter written by a Gallagher supporter.
The World Net Daily is not noted for its unbiased journalism, and I'm being polite in saying that.

It's a letter in that news website, and it's unattributed. Again, no physician would write such a letter, and WND is not that careful about its fact-checking, as has been shown many times in the past.
As for your order to me, I'm very sorry, but I don't take orders from anyone, especially not a newbie on Free Republic.
You may speak your piece, and I may do the same, as long as I follow the rules here. You do not have any position which give you the authority to order me around.
I will leave the decision on this thread to the admin moderator, who does have such authority.
Dr Linda was probably a psychologist or psychiatrist - two of the worst pseudo-sciences
I met that lady last week. She's very nice and cares for the Florida GOP, something I can't say of Crist supporters.

Why isn't there a first name on the letter or the hospital that had the "poll"? I did a search on Miami doctors and there is no Dr. Linda listed in the Miami yellow pages.

That's why I have reported the entire WND thing to someone in authority to conduct an investigation. We shall see. I didn't report it to anybody in Florida, land of coverups but to a higher authority.
