Howard Dean is Destroying the Democratic Party
Which is in theory a good thing, but can make for a very unbalanced American political system over the next 20 years as non-GOPers grope for a new Party to challenge the GOP for power. The latest indicator of the Dean-led Democratic melt down comes from Robert Novak (4th item):
Lifetime Democratic contributors have made good on their threat to stop giving money to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) so long as Howard Dean is its chairman. Some of the party's longtime money men warned that would happen when Dean took over the DNC following the 2004 elections. Lower contributions, combined with Dean's heavy spending, have resulted in the most recent cash-on-hand report by the DNC of $11.3 million, compared with $43.6 million at the Republican National Committee.
Disaffected Democrats keep giving to congressional committees. Current cash figures are $33 million at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $35.1 million at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Being under the GOP by a factor of $30 million heading in to the last two months of the election is not a good thing - and when combined with the fact that Dean is orchestrated the Democrats' lurch to the left, I see the meltdown of the Democratic Party coming.
I know, I know - the punditry is all about how the Democrats are poised for a big win in November, perhaps even capturing both houses of Congress...I'm just not buying that story; too much evidence that the GOP is not at all in trouble, coupled with hard and fast indicators - like this report - that the Democrats are floundering.
GOOD.
WOOHOO!
From your lips...
Wrong. The Democrat party is destroying itself, and Dean is only one of many suicidal weapons pointed at their heads.
What an absurd assertion! A party featuring NANcy Pelicanosi and Ted the swimmer Kennedy as mainline leaders isn't destroyed by having one as insane as they running the party. Hell, Dean isn't even getting Republicans elected this time around so he's harmless to the current crop of leftist democrats ... which is the whole damn party.
Shhh...
Let them.
Shhhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone!
Pelosi, Boxer, and Kennedy are furious that Dean is getting all the credit for destroying the Democrat party. They'll just have to try harder! ;)
Swahahahaha ... should we warn them?
Shhhhh!!!!!
Don't spill the beans.
Not fast enough to suit me!!!!
Shhhh!
The democrap party does seem to be close to death. However it would only take them regaining either the House or Senate in November (a very real possibility) for all this talk of their ultimate demise to sound ridiculous. The only way that the scumocratic party will have a real chance of completely disintegrating is if they do not gain seats in the upcoming elections. Then I'll believe the hype.
All I can say is "Go Howard. GO!"
Even with that absurd team of leaders, the only thing capable of destroying the Democrat Party is the American electorate.
Lets not count on Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy or any of a hundred others to do the job!!! The American public, as a group, not as smart as we like to think they are. Kerry only lost by 2% points - Gore by a fingernail!!
We have a lot of work to do to overcome a war that the American public doesn't understand and an economy that has been successfully badmouthed by the MSM!
Counting chickens can be fatal!
WOW! Not only is the thread great reading but so is your graphic. Only thing that surprises me--was the single issued as a 78?
If the Rats are ahead in the key Senate and House races (which they seem to be), and are competitive with the GOP in funding of the individual campaigns and of the Senate and House campaign committees (as I believe they are), the problem with the DNC and its fundraising would seem to be a minor problem for them, not a major problem. Dean isn't helping, but he's not destroying the party either. If he were, we wouldn't be seeing polls like we're seeing in the PA, OH, MO and MT Senate races. We will need to win this election with a hard, ballz-out effort. The Rats may screw up now and then, but generally speaking, it's a bad idea to think that they'll do our work for us.
