oh no
Heard it on FOX. That poor mother.
:(
I can remember, back in the day (early 60s), when I would thumb a ride home in the wee hours of the morning. Never had a fear, never had anyone do anything but give me a ride.
These "tough" guys like to kill women.
Hope he gets what he deserves.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You in prayer and ask that You provide solice to the family of this slain girl. Help comfort them in their grief and give them the strength to get through the horrible loss they suffer. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
This sucks. We don't have any details (she could have died from exposure while seeking help), but in this day and age, our minds generally assume the worst.
I hope I'm wrong.
I also hope and pray the Lord will be with the family. As a father of three, the oldest 17, this breaks my heart.
Amen
I know she could have been hit by a drunk driver.
Amen
I was just thinking about her today and praying for a better outcome.
I hadn't thought about that, but that's certainly a possibility.
I was so afraid of this, there are just too many of these happenings, the people committing the crimes need to be executed, the hell with an insanity plea trial.
Sad. She should never had been alone. Would the police have come to help if she called them instead of walking alone?
From a news article I watched on TV, she called her mother and her mother asked it she wanted her to come and help. The girl said that she could handle it and that there was a gas station within a half-mile.
Now, if my son had made that call (at that age), I would have been on my way in nanosecond regardless of what he might have said to the contraire. Not judging this situation, just stating what I would have done (and on several occasions did).

Very, very sad. May God be with her mother, her four brothers, and all of the family and friends.
If she was murdered this is the reason my Dad gave me a handgun. I ran out of gas one night at 0300 after getting back from a college football game. This was before cell phones. I walked in pitch black for about a mile before finding a house to go and use the phone. I had my cheerleading uniform on and my .38 special stub nose in my hand. Think about it. This was before Clinton made it illegal to own a handgun before 21 which I was and before it was illegal to have one on campus thanks to Clinton.
