Democrats have big plans if they take over in Congress

If Democrats win one or both houses of Congress in November's elections, as polls suggest is increasingly likely, President Bush's Washington will change dramatically.
Democrats will press to get out of Iraq. They'll mount investigations into the Bush administration's record that could rival those of Presidents Nixon in Watergate and Clinton in the Monica Lewinsky affair. They'll push a boatload of social-welfare legislation, such as raising the minimum wage, that reflects their pent-up priorities, while blocking the Republican agenda on social issues such as gay marriage, abortion and religion.
Those are some of the top plans that Democrats would pursue if they won power, according to interviews with Democratic lawmakers, strategists, staff aides and lobbyists. The tone and temper of the Democrats were reflected well by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., the ranking Democrat on the House Government Reform Committee, in a conference call in late August. He'll become the panel's chairman if Democrats take the House.

If the Commie 'RATS win they have promised to cut and run from the war on terror and then impeach President Bush. Why anyone claiming to be an American would vote for a DemocRAT in November is difficult for any NORMAL American to understand. I don't get it.

Nice try at obfuscating ... I responded to a post that had only one sentence. Voting democrap is never a joke, it's deadly serious.

"If they spend all their time trying to impeach President Bush, Congress will never get anything done. Oh. Wait."
That's okay. President Cheney has a nice ring to it. If he cuts spending and secures the borders, he will be a shoe-in in 2008.

Worse. It's called opening America up to her own annihilation by terrorists.
I'll bet that the dems said not a word about that little, "Problem."

If the RATs ever regain power in this country again, they will effectively eliminate all possible threats to their power through legal means. The nation, overnight, will become the socialist clone they desire and, eventually, the tyranny we fear.BINGO!

No. If the Republicans lose in November, it will be because the Hezbolacrats, after failing in their attempts to steal several recent elections, have, through trial and error, perfected their diabolical election stealing technique.

And we can just forget about tax cuts. Large tax increases will be one of their first orders of business.

To be fair, Republican Congress + Bush have increased the size of government the most and fastest since Lyndon Johnson. That is BAD.

Much as I would like to see Bush impeached (for his stance on illegal immigration), I really can't see myself pulling the lever for the Democrats, since a vote for them is a vote for defeat in Iraq. We owe our war dead and wounded a pledge to finish the job - to stay in Iraq so that the sacrifices they made will mean something. The Democrats will impose another Vietnam upon us - they will pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.

That's a pretty funny map. I see it has the Nullarbor desert of South Australia painted in red, where a few thousand people live in an expanse of bare desert five hundred miles across. If the Muslims want to live there amongst the drunken Crocodile Dundee types, they're welcome to it. Wish they'd all go there.

God! I hope you are right! I for one, will be first in line to continue to cast my vote for Republicans! The alternative is just something I will not be able to handle.

"If the Democrats take the House back,
pressure to find a way to withdraw from Iraq will greatly increase," said Rep. Barney Frank, an outspoken liberal Democrat from Massachusetts.
Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., for example, could take over as the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

If the RATs ever regain power in this country again, they will effectively eliminate all possible threats to their power through legal means. This has been my concern for some time. By reading the statements of Democrats, they do not believe that conservative political positions are either legal or morally legitimate. They do not believe in democracy or the US Constitution. They do believe in power.

1. USA pulls out of Iraq
2. Israel attacked incessantly
3. Serious talk of "Atzlan" heats up, and ambitious moves towards Mexico/US/Canada integration are undertaken
4. All work on a wall on the US southern border stopped, Minutemen harrassed, then arrested
5. Tax rates skyrocket
6. China attacks Taiwan
7. Affirmative action of all kind legalized
What else?
