I sure am sorry to hear that.
I could use some of your rain
to wash this heavy smoke away.
Let's trade a couple of those days.
Smiling...

As I mentioned earlier, most individuals recognize this prayer more in line with the idea of swearing. However, I think there is a valid case to recognize it as a prayer. That being so, it is bewildering why people would pray it. Could it be that they are not aware of what they are saying or of its significance? Or do they really want God to damn the one they love, their friends, work associates, or acquaintances?
I'm not so big on lady clergy generally but the woman has a very good point here about taking our Lord's name in vain.
I used to know an atheist, now dead, who used to swear terribly when working in his yard. I once saw him screaming obscenities at a church where services were being held with the windows open as he drove by.
After I accused him of devout praying, he never did it again around me. Not that I was any Christian in those days, I just didn't care for harassing religious services.
Proper atheists have no right to swear. And we shouldn't hesitate to remind them either.

LOL! You're right. I'll have to remember this.

My Sweet Lord - George Harrison This is a Hare Krishna (cult, shaved head, etc.) song, it has absolutely nothing Christian in it.
