PHOENIX - An Army investigator has recommended the death penalty for four soldiers accused of murder during a raid in Iraq.
Lt. Col. James P. Daniel Jr. made the recommendation in report obtained Saturday by The Associated Press.
Daniel found several aggravating factors that warrant a sentence of death in the case of four soldiers accused of killing three men during the May raid in the Salahuddin province.
After hearing Paul Hackett verbally attack Dan Senor on O'Reilly's show, he sure seems to have issues. Lucky for his "constituents" he wasn't elected.
I pity the poor souls that don the uniform , only to fall prey to the very same rush to judgment they are accused of making on the battlefield.
War is hell.
Uhmmm..I'm pretty much sitting here with my JAW scraping the floor. If I have a coherent thought anytime soon, I'll let you know...
You are right. Not all that wear the uniform and are in positions of power have the best interest of the military and our soldiers. This prosecutor could be a liberal moonbat. Paul Hackett made it to major. Go figure that one.
Bump! I agree, he has issues!
If this is the story about the 4 who raped a girl then killed her and her family, and it is true, I say this is exactly what they deserve.
They single handedly brought shame on their whole country- If they were to do this at home and were civilians I would say they deserve the same penalty.
But to do this in another country does and incredible amount of damage beyond the crime itself, and the only way to help repair that part is to give them what they deserve.
You belong with Murtha, in hell.
Sounds like you are the poster " ccmay " that posted with the same propaganda then left the thread.
If this is the story about the 4 who raped a girl then killed her and her family..
It isn't.
The "System" hasn't convicted them yet, just the Press & a few wacky's on FR.
I am not sure what your preoccupation with Paul Hackett is, especially in this context. He is representing the Haditha Marines, which have been accused of a crime similar to that in this article. He is actively trying to raise money for their defense and has clearly stated that he believes they are innocent and being treated unfairly.
You may not think very highly of him, but I think he is one the side of our soldiers in these type of cases.
What are you, some kind of liberal?
/sarc sorry. That just sounded funny.
But I agree with you; it's a ripping good yarn.
But we bequeath a parting tip
For sound advice as such men
As come across in transport ships
To polish off the Dutchmen!
"Shoot straight, ya bloody bastards. Don't make a mess of it!"
For AP/Yahoooooooo to publish something like this on a long holiday weekend when no one is paying attention seems very odd to me.
For the most applicable damage they could do to these soldiers and to the US Military as a whole, all the while kissing the butts of their Terrorist buddies, you'd think it would be a regular old Monday Morning story posted then to get the most mileage out of it.
@ssholes. What part of "We're at war!" do these people fail to understand? Oh, that would be all three words. *Rolleyes*
I'll wait, as I always do in these cases, to see what the military actually does about it. With the exception of them not trying and executing John Kerry for Treason the moment he set foot again on Americna Soil, they do a pretty good job of policing themselves. ;)
This isn`t the case about the girl, at least she wasn´t mentioned in the article. It talks abpour three Iraqi men they alledgedly shot while trying to escape.
If you're talking about the Paul Hackett who ran for office in Ohio (and failed), he was a marine, not Army.
We have plenty of our own douchebags without taking responsibility for those of other services.
Heh, I am sorry. Please forgive me. As a former marine myself, I should have caught that. Maybe subconsciously I was wanting him to be a member of one of the other services. :)
