We haven't had a briefing in a real long time, folks.

Today's briefing is for any jihadi and or any jihadi supporter using the Internet or email, phone or any form of communication:

You are not alone. Nothing you do is private. Really. You will be caught, eventually. Really. Stop your evil deeds now. Thank you for reading this.

Proof of concept
Seven Deadly Sins of the Global Jihad Online: Deadly Sin Number 1 - Lust

Yes brothers, you love death more than we love life. That's what we're counting on. That and all the behaviors that follow from such a desire. The way we see it:

• Jihadis define victory as their death

• And we define victory as their death

Isn't it nice that we can all agree on something?

Regular email is safer?
That's what the admins of one forum think, and who are we to argue...

Jihadist Website Discontinues Private Message, E-mail Services
Jihadist Websites -- OSC Report
Wednesday, August 30, 2006 T21:30:47Z
Journal Code: 9241 Language: ENGLISH Record Type: FULLTEXT
Document Type: OSC Report
Word Count: 155 A translation of the statement follows:

"In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
We inform the forum members that we have discontinued our private messages and e-mail services for security reasons.

We confirmed that many attempts have been made to identify and arrest members of the forum by using links and special software to track down the private messages and e-mails or by drawing them into their trap.

Private messages and correspondence services provided by the website were discontinued to guarantee the safety of the members and prevent any attempts that would harm them.

You can contact the moderators through the Suggestions and Complaints forum.

As for the moderators, they can contact each other through the same forum or through regular e-mail.

We ask God, glory be to Him, to protect us all and guide us to what pleases Him.

The Administration

3 Sha'ban 1427, corresponding to 27 August 2006"

And Allah know best (but then again, Allah isn't the admin of any jihadi forums, that we are aware of).

Breathing new life into the jihadi OSINT project Forum Participant Suggests Translating 'Western' Articles, Reports
Jihadist Websites -- OSC Report
Friday, September 1, 2006 T02:43:47Z
Journal Code: 9241 Language: ENGLISH Record Type: FULLTEXT
Document Type: OSC Report
Word Count: 529
A translation of the message follows:

"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
Praise be to God and prayers and peace be upon His messenger and those who follow him.

A project I suggest to those who are familiar with foreign languages.

It is clear to everyone that the Western intelligence services and research centers translate much of what is written in Arabic in order to be aware of the ideas and plans present in the Arab circles and therefore know the status of the Arab societies and put in place plans to deal with them.

Why should we not have that role?

Meaning, some of the youth who have knowledge of the foreign languages (should) follow the Western press and translate what they see as beneficial so that our youth, researchers, and intellectuals alike may be aware of it.

This is a very important matter, as through this we can know the reactions of Western societies toward our issues.

I hope that the youth actively participate in this matter and are not idle.

If each one of us translates one article every week, and if we had only 10 translators, we would receive a good amount of opinions put forth in their press and media.

It is also possible that we could cooperate with some of the brothers to translate the reports that their research centers publish concerning Islamic issues by each individual translating some pages, then refining the translation and publishing the report in (Microsoft) Word or (Adobe) Acrobat formats.

Let each of us imagine how much he will be rewarded for each letter he translates if through this he desired to please God."

Another forum participant responded with the following message:

"(This is) an important and essential project and if it were carried out by the members of the Ana al-Muslim forum, it would make it a forum truly employed in the service of the ummah's (Muslim community) causes. We need to know what our enemies say about us.

May God bless the one who made the suggestion. It is worthy of implementing.

I suggest that we begin the first steps of envisioning the project and suggesting a mechanism for it. The volunteers' circumstances must be taken into consideration.

God grants success in what He loves and approves of."

A third forum participant offered his services, indicating that "I live in the West and I sometimes read unbelievable things and say to myself, if only my people knew. By the grace of God, I have translated for great scholars and I lecture about Islam in Western universities. I just hope that I have time for the hopes are many, life is short, and the energy is fading." He also asked for examples of types of materials to be translated, to which someone responded, "It is my opinion that the important articles that we need are the articles related to the countries' strategies that are published by research centers such as the RAND (Corporation) and others." Finally, certain types of articles were suggested such as those available on "Jihad Watch," indicating that "they have collected on (this site) various English articles on Islamic movements."
