If so then there is no argument at all.
We do what is best for the troops first and foremost.
They don't deserve to see this president repudiated and have their sacrifice diminished because some folks didn't think the President was pure enough.
So since you claimed I had a candidate, but then couldn't name him, I'm sounding like a Democrat? Is that your position? You're insane. And an idiot.
I'm one of those people that did not vote for Bush in 2004...Yes, I'm a conservative. I believe that if you forgo your principles and vote strictly for the party you have wasted your vote.
You're not a conservative. You're a political ignoramus.
buh-bye!
THAT is GOOD!!!!! Perfect!
Jack Burns is toast. He signed up in 2003, made exactly 3 posts and was probably going to start posting a lot once the campaigns for November start heating up.
Your profile page indicates an attachment to McCain, who may be slightly better than Giuliani, but still not a strong Republican. Hell, George Bush isn't a strong Republican, either, but why settle for even less?
Don't give these creeps an out..."insane" let's them off the hook!
#1. You said I have a candidate. You lied and can't admit it.
#2. If you knew what the heck you were talking, which you clearly don't, you'd have seen me post nearly weekly how much I can't stand McCain and how I've seen him him in person and think he's insane.
#3. What he said at Tillman's funeral, however, was absolutely spot on and is a tribute to our military.
That you can't admit you've lied speaks volumes about you.
LOL. That's so true.
You really don't mind lying, do you? I have one quote from McCain at Pat Tillman's funeral and you think this indicates an attachment to McCain? You have problems. Serious problems. Seek help immediately.
ROFL...Peach, how do you do it? Transcribing W's speeches...the talk shows, etc., etc., and still find time to regularly post at DU?!?
LOL. I know. My days are so full. Multi-tasking and taking on various personas. hehehe
An honest question...
If I consider myself a vote taken for granted in a party increasingly given to liberal tenets, what other weapon do I have than my silence?
I submit that it is the candidate who bears the responsibility to EARN the vote, not the other way around.
That being said, I understand the point you make.
I'm not happy with the Congressional Republicans either. Far from it.
But what are we going to do? Sit it out to protest? That's not going to help anyone. Teach them a lesson? They won't learn from it. They'll get more liberal or move more to the middle.
The days of staunch conservatism are over, imo. The Republicans have moved left and the Democrats have moved to another world.
Regardless, the primary issue I care about is national security. Without a strong national security, issues like abortion and gay marriage and health insurance, etc., won't matter to anyone.
The terrorists can't take us on militarily but they can hurt us financially. And very, very badly. Badly enough we wouldn't be a super power anymore. I don't want to see that happen or we'll be kowtowing to the UN before you can sneeze.
I find it more appealing to be a "minority" than a "compromised party whore".
So you base your vote on one issue? I will assume you mean the "War on Terror"? What a crock of crap. The "War on Terror" will end up just as the "War on Drugs" and the "War on Poverty"...a never ending program that will never be won.
