Ive seen enough Mexican future "guest workers" current illegals riding girls bikes with 30 packs on their shoulders to know that Miller is making a great marketing choice with this rally.
Midwest MM have it on their site with some additional information and signs ready for Sept 4 protest.

Hold muh beer ulurt.
Read the book "Citizen Coors, An American Dynasty"
by Dan Baum. Pretty interesting story about the history of the Coors brewery and the coors family. Very conservative people.
You must have missed the Smith&Wesson "boycott".
...and the Levis boycott.

I guess they think the Mexicans will buy their product but most Mexicans I know drink Mexican beer.
I don't know what Fosters current ownership arrangements are: they used to be tied up with the Molson folk in Canada and with some brewing mob in Japan (was it Asahi? Don't remember).
Suspect that Miller may have some sort of licensing arrangement with Fosters for US distribution. (Corrections anyone)
Fosters is a tidy drop: I'm enjoying one right now, ice-cold DownUnder.
PING
> Fosters was good when it was brewed in Australia. Otherwise Miller Beer Sucks!!!
I worked for the Elders Group in Canada when CUB and Molson stitched up their deal whereby Molson would brew Fosters in Canada for the North American market.
At the time (mid 80's) they figured the Molson "Fosters" was better than the CUB "Fosters", so the Ozzies sent their brewers to Canada to learn how it was done...
...or so the story goes.
We get the Ozzie Fosters here in New Zealand: nice drop -- I'm enjoying one right now.
For me, living in England and tasting real ale was enough to do it. Americans are used to vaguely alcoholic soda pop, it seems.

Thanx.Just got the alert in my in box.
Miller, via Peter, admits to being pro-amnesty and anti Sensenbrenner but denies being pro-illegal?
Miller (Brewing) denies financing (Immigration) march
Todd Brachman says that you "old" people are no real loss to Miller anyway.
We used to buy Miller's. No more.
"With a youthful demographic profile, Latinos, broadly speaking, represent a strong market for brewers, while the opponents on the immigration question mainly are older people "who don't drink as much beer anyway," said Brachman"
And this is what millions of "old people" contributed to over the years. Looks like miller has already discounted "old people" and focussing on the new illegal latino generation.
Hopefully there will be a surpise in store for Brachman and Miller.
I've been boycotting Miller ever since I tasted my first microbrew. But I'll pretend it's because of this too, if yopu like :-)
