NRA Endorses Harris
Unified Sportsmen of Florida Concur
Tampa, FL -- Congresswoman Katherine Harris, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Unified Sportsmen of Florida. Katherine Harris has an "A" rating from the NRA, in stark contrast to Bill Nelson's "F" rating.
In a letter to Congresswoman Harris, Marion Hammer, NRA Past President and current Executive Director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida states "You [have] been consistently strong in support of Second Amendment and self-defense issues and we sincerely appreciate your solid pro-sportsmen, pro-Second Amendment, pro-freedom record. Your outstanding and unblemished record on issues important to firearms owners and sportsmen demonstrates undeniable dedication to freedom and the Bill of Rights."
Congresswoman Harris strongly supports the rights of all lawful gun owners. As Florida's next Senator, Katherine Harris will continue to support legislation defending the right to bear arms and oppose any attempts to water down our cherished 2nd Amendment rights.

Nelson - Friend of the Left Receives MoveOn.org Endorsement
Tampa, FL - Bill Nelson, Florida's lackluster incumbent in the U.S. Senate race against Republican candidate Katherine Harris, has received the endorsement of MoveOn.org, a far-left political action group well-known for its defamatory television ads and radical attempts to recklessly pull our troops out of Iraq. Bill Nelson attempts to portray himself as a moderate, but his liberal voting record and political endorsement by MoveOn.org provide a much different picture of who Nelson actually represents.
Congresswoman Harris comments "I am not surprised by MoveOn.org's decision to endorse my opponent. Bill Nelson is out of touch with Florida values, and his record of opposing tax cuts and flip-flopping on important issues like off-shore drilling demonstrate why this race is so important for Florida."
MoveOn.org is heavily funded by George Soros, international financier and outspoken critic of the United States. Following the tragic events of September 11th, MoveOn.org decried U.S. attacks on Afghanistan, sympathizing with governments that harbor terrorists and insisting that these nations should not be held accountable for terrorist's crimes against our people. Driven to pull our troops out of Iraq at any cost, MoveOn.org produced inflammatory television ads depicting an American soldier descending into quicksand with a rifle held overhead in a surrendering posture. In another ad, Republicans were attacked for providing critical funds to ensure basic provisions for our soldiers in Iraq.
Bill Nelson can attract the endorsement of a group like MoveOn.org because his record in the Senate is far from mainstream. Nelson has voted against tax cuts, against marriage, against the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and he has voted for legislations that grants amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, at great cost to our economy and national security.
As revealed in an article last year in the St. Petersburg Times, MoveOn.org circulated an email boasting of its power to influence the Democratic Party, declaring "Now it's our party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back." In an effort to "take back" the Democratic Party, MoveOn.org recently asserted its political might to help oust Joe Lieberman, a highly respected, devout moderate Democrat from Connecticut, from the Party's ticket. This is just one example of MoveOn.org's aggressive campaign to target mainstream Democrats and move the Party to the far-left. MoveOn.org champions an extreme agenda that is dangerous for America and certainly does not line up with Florida's values. Bill Nelson may benefit monetarily from MoveOn.org's ringing endorsement, but Florida deserves better!

bttt
Bumpity bump!
I think the NRA made its recommendation based on who looked most sexy holding a 30.06.
Why did she give up a Congress seat for life for a premature run at the Senate?
"
MoveOn.org endorses Bill Nelson:
Did Florida already have its primary? If not, when is it? Doesn't Harris first have to get past McBride?
This is funny. :)
She's got great hair!

Rated A by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun rights voting record.
Harris scores A by NRA on pro-gun rights policies
While widely recognized today as a major political force and as America's foremost defender of Second Amendment rights, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has, since its inception, been the premier firearms education organization in the world. But our successes would not be possible without the tireless efforts and countless hours of service our nearly three million members have given to champion Second Amendment rights and support NRA programs.

Yes, I agree....
And the MoveOn.org endorsement of Nelson actually will hut him in Florida and it gives Katherine Harris....proof that he's a liberal pretending to be a moderate.
