...Hard choices need to be made, and given the situation we're in, I think we must bite the bullet and say no more health care for card-carrying Republicans. It just doesn't make sense to invest in longevity for people who don't believe in the future. Let them try faith-based medicine, let them pray for their arteries to be reamed and their hips to be restored, and leave science to the rest of us.
Cutting out health care to one-third of the population--the folks with Bush-Cheney bumper stickers, who still believe the man is doing a heckuva job--will save enough money to pay off the national debt, not a bad legacy for Republicans. As Scrooge said, let them die and reduce the surplus population. In return, we can offer them a reduction in the estate tax. This guy was interview by Bill O'Reilly. He admitted he doesn't watch much TV and doesn't follow news via the internet. BOR was left wondering how he considers himself so qualified to pontificate on the affairs of the world. He obviously isn't. Does he really think the government is paying health care for Republicans? Does he really think that tiny fraction of the annual budget can pay off a deficit 4-5 times bigger than the entire budget? What a maroon. Methinks he spent too much time without oxygen under Lake Wobegon.
For two months now, wherever I go, whenever I flip on the TV, someone is raving about how great A Prairie Home Companion was.

Garrison Keillor is a ponderous bore.
They already have this in their bag of tricks, it's called means testing. They will apply it to SS as well.
I always wonder why socialists think they occupy the high moral ground. Considering that they advocate a totalitarian nightmare that has killed millions.
Beyond that, Keillor is a lousy, but self centered writer.

Truly pathetic. Keillor gave a talk at my college back in the late '80's when he still had a folksy, Will Rogers air about him. The first thing he did was have the audience stand and whistle the Star Spangled Banner, and in a packed auditorium, the effect was quite powerful. It's a pity; the man used to have my respect...but in his apparent uselessness, he stands as a perfect object lesson as to how hatred can ruin a man's soul.

what does James Cameron have to do with anything? Boy, that movie was a bust..it had so much hype, and then it just went away. I refuse to see anything with Lindsey Lohan, just out of principle.
