CBS) CHICAGO Another immigration march starts today in Chicago and will continue all the way through the weekend.
Activists want to pressure lawmakers to reform immigration laws and are upset that so far, there are no scheduled public hearings in Illinois.
The 40-mile march is expected to last four days. It begins in Chinatown on Friday and will conclude at U.S. Rep. Dennis Hasterts office in Batavia on Monday.
The march is being sponsored by Miller beer.
Another reason not to drink Miller beer
Miller needs to be boycotted. Liberal scumbags.
Depending how much 'sponsorship' Miller gives, the march may turn into a stumble...
It looks like there is going to be a biker ride in Arizona. I wonder if these folks know what Miller co. is doing on the interior of the U.S.
"Those who are with us will cheer; those who are against us will fear."
American Freedom Riders
The most asked question IS "When is the next ride?"
The answer is October 22 2006
"Brotherhood on the Border"
There won't be any aliens coming across that day!
Those who are with us will cheer; those who are against us will fear.
Fire 'em up, Rev 'em up, and be heard!
Mark your calendar - details coming soon.

I found this event on,

it looks like the site updates events and gives you a link to the group holding the events page.
If I were the head of the local ICE I'd (among other things) check the ID of anybody that was dumb enough to place on a sign that they were a foreign trespasser (or some such verbiage). My agents would be in casual dress but w/ their ICE ID on them & they would detain all those that failed to show proper ID. But OH, NO, they shouldn't do that, tsk, tsk, tsk b/c they might offend somebody. *Sigh* BTW, for those of you that don't think some haven't already been at one of these things w/ such signs...think again.
GQuagmire, as if there weren't ALREADY enough reasons not to drink it. *Grin* AAT, If I recall correctly didn't Miller already run ads opposing a crack-down on illegal alien invading trespassers.
BTW, heard that Bud & Coors donate $ to "LA RAZA!". Does anybody know anything about that?
So, are these people going to march day and night? What route will they take? I'm really worried they might come within two blocks of my house. That could be interesting depending on the time of day or night.
Maybe I should try FReeping them---but maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea either, especially alone. I'll have to think about this.
Are you in Chicago? these folks have a protest rally on their site.

THANKS. It's quite near. I'm still wondering about their ROUTE to the office, though. I might have an interesting Labor Day.
I'm just back from looking at the marchers--only they're done marching for the day and camped out at a church. Our town has some of the roads shut off (luckily we can still get out), but overall it's quite tame. They had a loudspeaker going really loud earlier in the evening, but I think someone must have complained because all of a sudden it got a lot softer. We're happier because we do want to be able to sleep.
Our police were quite visible, and besides police on the streets, there were also police cars patrolling round and round. It didn't seem like there were even 200 there now, but they say they are expecting about 4000 tomorrow by the time they get to Batavia to Hastert's office.
We have a 60% chance of rain tomorrow. I'll report again tomorrow if I notice anything interesting.
I found out the info on beer co's that contribute to "la raza". So as not to repeat the same info in 2 threads if you would like to know the info then go to the other thread here:
