I don't understand what you're trying to say with that comment. Throughout all of documented history, Rome (including subgroups of its Eastern Orthodox branch and nearly all other branches) has been antagonistic toward Israel.

I am not Jewish and have no authority to answer your question. But I will attempt to do so, having had a background in Christianity and communicating with Christians (also having a background in study of various other religions and knowing of no command for me against answering such questions).

According to Malachi (3:6), G-d does not change. The Torah predates the Quran by a very long time. That is even made apparent in the Quran text.

The Quran also says that Israel belongs to the Jewish people.

I suppose Russian interests in the Nation of Israel would not be the same as America, as Israel is our only true ally in the Middle East—and therefore, in direct competition with Russian geo-political, strategic, and energy interests in the region.

RusIvan's comments Putin's arm's deals in the Middle East are "just business" is disingenuous. While America openly supports the Nation of Israel in the Middle East, Russia's intentions are certainly less than forward. Especially their support of Iran's nuclear program which is certainly on a weapons grade track, and inevitably pointed towards Israel ... and inevitably America.

If you're a Russian nationalist, that's fine. Be a patriot of Russia. But, don't think he's doing Russia any favor by appeasing and arming Iran and Syria. ;) I don't think I need to remind you that Muslims make up (at the last figure I saw), around or over 10% of Russia's population, and is the fastest growing segment. I could be wrong on this, but I don't think I am. Do you honestly think that their proxy militias are going to concentrate on regional jihad? Do you think that by Putin arming them and appeasing them with sympathetic rhetoric that he will transform angry, alienated and rapidly radicalizing Muslims in the former USSR into patriots?

We both know that's not true. Putin is concentrating on short-term profit, and trying to cozy up to China, and Iran. Which is well and good, to a point. But China is going to eat up Russia's east, when given half an opportunity. Or just flood it with illegal immigrants (as it continues to do), and have it secede. In the long term, he's going to reap a lot of the trouble he's sowing for the West now.

And the geographical definition is "Israel". I do watch the Discovery Channel, and its spinoffs, and they use "Israel". Hagana was not a terrorist organization, by the way. You're probably thinking of the Irgun and the Stern Gang; and they don't hold a candle next to the Islamist terrorists. They rarely, if ever, targetted civilians (I can't think of a single instance when they did). In fact, they generally called the British to warn them to get everyone out of the building. They did assassinate British officers, and attack soldiers.

And, by the by, I want Russia for myself. So, you know...both me and the Russians have an equal claim to the land. And who's to say who's right? ;p

Marriages between Jews and non-Jews are, of course, allowed. And, a few crazy Jews converted to Islam last year. Something like 70. Non-Jews are, by and large, buried in different cemetaries than Jews. This is due to religious practice. Which is true most anywhere in the world.

Also, Chomsky is a professor of linguistics. Though a brilliant one, he has done nothing for mathematics, that I am aware of. And he is also VERY anti-Israel. He used to be fairly sympathetic to the USSR, by the by. He is ideologically opposed to Israel. Like, for example, say...a Chechnyan separatist being opposed to Russia.

And yes, I am aware that not all criticism of Israel is necessarily anti-Semitism. Much of it is disguised anti-Semitism, though, which explains the vigilance, and sometimes paranoia, of many people.

AFAIK from Putin' public comments Russia tries to be neutral toward Israel-Arab land conflict. Sametime Russia does business with any sides who has money and want it.
If Isarel has money and went to Russia to shop weaponry then Russia gladly sell it to her.

As for Israel supporters here I see that for them anyone who are not outright supporter of Isarel is "hater":). Who critisizes Israel even a little bit is "antisemite":).

I beleive that true jews are those who live in Israel. Those who live in Russia and call themselves jews are really conformists.

Everything applies to Russians too. The true Russian should live in Russia.

Of cause one may live temporary everywhere but temporary only.

Of cause there can be people who may change its national indentity and convert to Jew or to Russian.
Such people in Russia we call Russia of jewish origin for example or anyelse origin. So they are Russians but thier origin doesn't concern no one.
But again if one live and even born in Russia and want to be a Jew or else he should emigrate to Israel or to appopriate country.

I don't support the "multi-culturism" as the wrong idea. I think that each people should live in thier own country. Or ther will be inter-national clashes.
