Geez. It's a sad day when Obama is in favor of a bill to require more transparency in fed largesse, and a Republican is against it. What is this world coming to?

It'll be even sadder if he ever becomes President, which is what this vote was about for him anyway.

Thanks for posting it, anyway. I was wondering who put that hold on the bill. My guess is that Stevens is stinging from the treatment that he got over the bridge and thinks that the opposition will use the web site to mischaracterize everything that the other party requests.

It seems like the GOP office holders these days are either corrupt, too stupid not to make remarks that will come back to bite them, RINOs, or political whores.
Maybe it's time for ol' farts like Stevens of Alaska and Burns of Montana, who are so out of touch they couldn't figure out how to scratch their own a**, to go on out to pasture.
No wonder people get turned off with the political system. No wonder people are disinterested and don't even bother to vote. There's not a dime's worth of difference between the the Dems and most Pubbies. When you've got Freepers supporting John McCain and Rudy Giuliani, the conservatives of this nation may as well put our heads between our legs and kiss our butts good-bye.
