Soros: We need to break this cycle of violence (War On Terror Is Counterproductive)

We need to break this cycle of violence

The concept of the war on terror is counterproductive, exposing everyone involved to further danger.

About Webfeeds August 31, 2006 09:07 AM

Israel's failure to subdue Hizbullah demonstrates the many weaknesses of the war-on-terror concept. One weakness is that even if the targets are terrorists, the victims are often innocent civilians, and their suffering reinforces the terrorist cause....

The people of Palestine yearn for peace and relief from suffering. The political - as distinct from the military - wing of Hamas must be responsive to their desires. It is not too late for Israel to encourage and deal with an Abbas-led Palestinian unity government as the first step towards a more balanced approach. What is missing is a US government that is not blinded by the war-on-terror concept.

<< I stopped at the same point. >>

Me, too.

<< Are people such idiots that they believe this nonsense? >>

Yes. And the world's Soros-es -- (Riady-Cli'tons, Hammer-Gores, Rich-Moscows, Kennedy-IRAs et al) who've made careers of lying to people too damned stupid to know they're being lied to and/or to damned, evil, mean-spirited and greedy to care --know they may count on them. And do.

Yeah, that question was pretty rhetorical, and I well-knew the unfortunate answer.

There's a reason our public schools don't manage to teach much critical thinking. If they did, many fewer would buy this sort of obvious bovine scat.

This guy rates right up there with the nut-case from Iran in the listing of who's demise will definitely improve the world.

The more this leftist, anti-american scumbag Soros opens his big fat mouth, the more I wonder if he's actually the antichrist.

George, if we called it quits on the war on terror, it would just embolden them to come after us even more. A unilateral truce would be suicide for our way of life, which is obviously what you want, George. So bite it and STFU.

Like who is this guy, Soros, kidding. His personal terrorist war on good productive people isn't counterproductive? Yeah, right. What a putz. He is doing the exact thing he is yammering for everyone else not to do. When is he going to jail? He could share a cell with the Clintons.

Soros has effectively taken over the Democrat Party through our campaign finance laws and his vast 527 groups. Yet he stands firmly in the camp of the Islamic terrorists.

Houston, we have a problem! Our mortal enemy is well within our gates and is taking over our government!!

Rumsfield was great; Pelosi's response was pathetic, and, IMHO, bordered on treason.

Why the President should have to defend the war is beyond me. I don't necessarily like the way its being fought, but I assume he has people smarter than me advising him, and they're fighting it this way for a reason.

While I don't trust democRATS as far as I can throw them, I will take exception with the "Our U.S. Constitution & Bill of Rights will be attacked, altered or eliminated" part.

The democRATS will definately try to alter it, but through the judiciary as they always do. They have never stopped attacking the parts they don't like (i.e. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed). They won't be able eliminate it. That's a little to alarmist for my taste.

The rest of your assertions are correct.

1) BUSH gets himself impeached by a new Anti-Freedom Congress. Yup, John Conyers has already drawn up articles of impeachment.

2) American Troops are immediately pulled home from Iraq and the War on Terror. Yup...just like the last flight out of Saigon.

3) Freedom falls in the Middle East, entirely. Isn't that the point of #2?

5) The War on Terror follows us home. Again , the point of #2

With regard to #3. Freedom... for Sharia Law. The U.S. should have never allowed the constitutions of Iraq and Afghanistan to include tenets of obedience to Sharia.

"The people of Palestine yearn for peace and relief from suffering."

Uh, not that I've seen. In fact, they seem to yearn for martyrdom. When you start with a "fact" 180 degrees from reality, we have a failure to communicate.

Maybe Soros is our biggest threat, not the WOT.

Soros would have the "cycle of violence" broken by only allowing one side to commit it all. Nice deal if you can get it.
