Today is the day the couple accused of killing their three year old foster child faced a judge. David and Liz Carroll were arraigned on a number of charges, including involuntary manslaughter, inducing panic, gross abuse of a corpse and perjury. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says murder will be likely be added to the list of charges at some point.

The Carrolls are accused of binding Marcus Feisel with tape and a blanket before locking him alone in a closet. Investigators say the boy was left there from Friday night to Sunday morning in early August.
Local 12 was on hand in Judge Patrick Dinkelacker's courtroom. The couple appeared individually before the judge. Both pled not guilty. The judge set bond for both at $10,100,000.

Deters is too good for politics.
FYI
This was such a heart-wrenching case. The step-mom was so believable as she appealed for help. Then hundreds of searchers volunteered thousands of man-hours looking for the little lost boy.
I don't know how they can turn this into a capital offense, because I don't think they'll be able to prove the parents intentionally killed the child, but my personal opinion is that the story of binding him and putting him in the closet for the weekend is bogus.
I don't think a weekend would kill a kid.
If it was hot, and if they put tape over his mouth or something so that he wouldn't scream, it could. Plus, if he's neglected and abused already.
First, they disposed of him by totally burning his body. They wanted to hide not just the body, but also evidence.
The evidence of the body would reveal, in my opinion, that he was beaten to death.
That very well could be. Only way they could get close to determining that is to find broken bones. They were dragging the river looking for parts of the body that didn't burn. But, the live-in said that he was locked in the closet. So, if you have someone bound in a hot closet with very little oxygen, I don't think it is far fetched to think that he died of suffocation.
Seems to be a trend of unfeeling narcissism. People
so consumed with themselves they have no regard for anyone around them. People today think of abortion as a procedure.
Others willingly remove a feeding tube from someone
who makes eye contact with you. (Shiavo) So many grow now with no moral compass.
I am sure this cutey got in the way of these pigs having
a drinking weekend.
May God Bless his soul.
Thanks for the ping. At this point, it sounds like they can make a solid murder case, but they probably can't get a death penalty case out of it unless one of the parents turns on the other one.
So much cheaper to stuff the kid in a closet than get a baby sitter eh.
Deters said that the wrapped him up in a blanket and wrapped him in duct tape.
Excited delirium and heat exhaustion are possible causes of death that Deters mentioned on 700 after consulting with a doctor re the possible cause of death.
Deters the Prosecutor said that the charges WILL be upgraded to Murder.
Make that clear packing tape.
Deters also said that they would have a fist fight in his office to put these two on death row.
We are consoled by the fact that Marcus is in Your loving arms, and will no longer suffer pain, rejection, tears, or misery. We know that You have an extra measure of love for those innocents who have suffered so much at the hands of those who were supposed to nurture and protect them on this earth. Thank You, Father, that Marcus has already found out the nature of Your goodness and love. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
