I am proudly endorsing Tom Gallagher for Governor of Florida. In a day when moral standards are up for grabs, Tom will be a champion for the family. He will work to provide genuine school choice for every Florida child, and he understands that the courts must be reigned in.

Dr. James Dobson National Conservative Leader

Medicaid Fraud was under Charlie Crist's umbrella of preventing fraud. He didn't prevent fraud. He fought the phone company and covered up the stuff he was supposed to investigate. If you keep going, Crist would still lose in November and maybe even by more because you are just helping me point out that Charlie Crist was a lousy Attorney General and stupid people think if somebody is a lawyer they must be smart. In Charlie's case they are really stupid because he's really stupid.

I saw a report that said after the first debate....only 10 pts. separated them. Gallagher picked up points when people saw Crist giving so many ambiguous responses.

If that were the case, why is Crist's lead now 57% to 32%. The poll showing the smallest lead for Crist has him ahead NOW by 22 points.

Also, the debates had extremely low ratings...very few watched the first one and you had to know somebody to watch the second one (it was not available at all here in the Panhandle).

I'm no Crist fan but Gallagher thoroughly disgusted me when he trashed Jeb Bush while running against him in the governor's race. He turned into a dirty little James Carville type character and a lot of us did not go into denial about it like you (or were you paying attention back then).

Captain Norm, I am lvg the GOP and it was my plan to lv it after the primary no matter who won... I have the form and just need to mail it in. The red/blue map is going to change. Don't blame me. Blame the GOP for becoming unacceptable to me as a party. I will vote for individuals, not for party. Their party is over.

I'm glad you enjoyed my posts through this election cycle. It's a freeing experience to leave the party of John McCain.

Sure, but Dobson should have been out there early, helping to shape the climate that determines how many of the last-minute deciders decide. That climate isn't determined at the last minute.

"Apparently, millions of people are still obsessing about the MURDER OF TERRI SCHIAVO and how nobody came to her aid.

"

I see no evidence whatever of what you say. I'm sure there are many people who are still obsessing about it, but not millions.

Nobody in our government answers to the Pope, Floriduh. President Bush did all he legally could, as did Jeb Bush.

Here in the United States, issues such as this are handled in the courts, not by the executive. Terri's case was handled in the courts.

There was no murder. There was no felony. Nobody is in prison.

It is very sad that Terri Schiavo died. It is very sad that my father-in-law died last week, too. It's always sad when people die.

"I win either way. It's the republican party who's in trouble, not me.
I'm lvg the GOP because IMO it's the new wing of the old democratic party. "

You're loving the GOP? It sure doesn't sound like it from what you say. Oh...wait...you're leaving the GOP. I see. OK, then, that would be your choice, I guess.

Where are you going, then? To the Constitution Party? They're not going to win any elections, you know.

Well that will certainly mark the end of the Republican Party. When they find out you're leaving, everybody will want to leave.

I can picture the lines forming at the Supervisor of Elections offices with people waiting for hours to make the switch.

Same way you did, eh?

I've lived in FL for the past 10 years & been very active in the FL GOP grassroots.

I'm speaking of politics in general, using the Florida election as an example.

I'm not sure Florida fits 'politics in general'. There are many conservative politically active people who attend church regularly in FL....and what Dobson thinks has an impact on them.

"Charlie Crist is a younger version of Dr. Kevorkian.
"

Really? Crist is giving lethal doses of medication to people? My goodness! You should inform the police about that. I'm sure it's illegal.

There you go again, Floriduh, loving the GOP again. You're kinda inconsistent, neh?

Are those the same ones that are watching your house from unmarked cars you referred to a week or so ago?

Most of the cars I see each day are "unmarked", but it has never bothered me. Maybe I should go pick up an extra roll of tinfoil just in case.

Some already have theirs ready

"I'm not sure Florida fits 'politics in general'. There are many conservative politically active people who attend church regularly in FL....and what Dobson thinks has an impact on them."

There are many conservative people who attend church everywhere in the USA. A small number of them make decisions based on what Dobson thinks. Most make up their own minds.

Again, I'm talking about politics in general. Florida is no different from any other state in that regard. You have a couple of primary candidates from the GOP running for the governorship. You like one...others like the other. It's the same in the senate race, except it's rather rare for the leading candidate to be such a loser.

From the way it sounds, I'm betting that the Democrat will win in both races, not because he's better, but because the GOP candidates are such morons.

I've seen the same thing happen in many states. Dobson will have virtually no effect whatsoever. BTW, I don't think he lives in Florida, either.

I have no doubt that you are all wrapped up in this race. Perhaps you are too close to it to see the big picture.

You might want to try that again. There seem to be a couple of verbs missing or something.

Well then you probably wouldn't like to live in heaven either when you die because there will be billions of Drl Dobson types living there. You may want to decide to go to the other place.

"Just when you think they can't sink any lower......sigh."

Well, it's really just a couple of people who seem to have gotten way too personally invested in this campaign. When Floriduh Voter begins comparing a candidate for governor with Kevorkian, then it's clear that there's something going on that has nothing to do with this election.

Between Katherine Harris and the governor's race, the GOP in Florida seems to have slipped of its tracks. That's really too bad, because Florida's always teetering on the balance anyhow.

I'm guessing that the Democrat for Governor is going to have a good chance of winning, just because of the animus generated by this campaign. It's a foregone conclusion that Nelson wins.
