Good thing the Richmond race is next week, looks like Ernesto is heading for Virginia and the Carolinas with a lot of rain.
From the sound of the reports the pre-race in the stands and under the stands where the drivers went back and forth to their motorhomes was more exciting than the 'respectful' race.
Supposed to be 99 degrees Sunday at the CA Speedway. Look for a hot and boring race.
Did you enjoy the cold front? We were down to 96 yesterday, almost long john weather!
To the Guys at Walter Reed, will see you at the gate this Friday, Sept 1. Get me more names of the ones that monitor this NASCAR site. We would like to acknowledge as many as possible. While I have met many of you, if you don't know me just ask any Freeper where is Coach Bill?
Sorry I haven't been participating much in the last few weeks. Sad news that I hate to bring up here but here goes.
I lost my wife at the end of July from cancer. It has been rough. The kid, 20, and I have been doing some deep sea fishing to get our minds off of it.
Get this, even though he is only 20, I have introduced him to the Atlantic City Casinos teaching him money management. (Or, how to not lose your ass). I had a $200 limit (show), but showed $500 winning and losing. Broke even and got a $50 dinner spiff. So, it worked out.
Hope to be here Sunday after a quick trip to Walter Reed this Friday.
Hi/Bye.
In from Cal. headed for twin.
but had to share some possible good news for a change.
