The voters are looking for competency and leadership. ..not if they pass a politically correct litmus test.

If Hillary Clinton were the GOP candidate in 2008, I can be sure that a good number of so-called "conservatives" would be shilling for her here as the most viable candidate.

P.S. I am not -- and never have been -- a Republican. I am a principled conservative who has voted primarily for Republicans on a Federal level because the national GOP platform is substantially more conservative than the alternative. A Republican candidate whose track record differs from that platform on 80-90% of the issues is not conservatives in any way and will not get my vote.
