his phenomenal performance after 9/11 was much appreciated."""

I know he appeared on TV a lot and said uplifting things. What else did he do after 9/11 that was "phenomenal"? Anybody .... anybody ... ?

I've wondered the exact same thing, and noticed that no one has come up with an answer to your question.

If you want to know who Rudy is then study what he did B E F O R E 9/11 in NYC. He tackled issues that no other NYC politician dared to and Rudy turned a doomed city completely around. Considering NYC politics and social issues that was a feat few could even begin to tackle.
Rudy did it and did it well. I may not agree with his gay support and pro choice stand but I don't think he'd lobby to change the status quo as Rudy generally thinks these social issues shouldn't be government issues. He is pragmatic and operates using common sense approach to problems. I'd vote for him with no second thoughts. The rigid right and the rigid left are only helping push people out of the two parties.
In my view both parties aren't worth considering for membership anymore.

I am not a fan of Guiliani. Clear?

As I understand it, Rudi cleaned up a lot of the street BS that was going on before 9-11!

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, but it is my perception that he really did make a difference compared to the likes of Dinkens, and the other preceding Mayors of NYC.

I am not a New Yorker, but, I been there many many times, and I always saw it as a sheitehole in and about midtown. Nothing but whores and hockey players standing around in fancy pants looking for their big chance to blow it again.

The Rangers did win it all one year, but not until after years of scorn by NHL fans around the globe.

The whores still parade around in hot pink and blonde wigs, destined to never see anything remotely like the Stanley Cup.

Yes, I am quite familiar with the denizens of the Lincoln Tunnel area of the late night circa 1980s. I was a big rig moonlighting Trucker in those days. I saw a lot.

NYC is in my view, more of a City State, than just a city.

Rudi is a great man for his proven accomplishments, but I'd never vote for him.

He might as well hang out and clean windows outside the Lincoln Tunnel like they used to and use Windex in order to make a half dollar from undesiring/unwanting customers.

Rudy ended the impromptu window washer industry, and a lot more.

That is in the minds of many, always going to be his greatest achievement. Seeing that he don't play hockey.

What have you ever done that is phenomenal?
