Thanks.
I think "The Path To 9-11" is going to have a postive effect on the up coming election. I've had a couple of (non-political) people come upi to me today and ask how true was that movie. Needless to say I told them the truth, that it pretty much nailed it.
The poor democrats just can't seem to catch a break.
Tehran offers Baghdad assistance on security
From one of your links:
Maliki had been expected to tell fellow Shiite Muslim leaders in Iran that Tehran should not interfere in Iraqi affairs. Washington has accused Iran of backing militants fighting U.S. troops in Iraq.
"We will give our full assistance to the Iraqi government to establish security" in Iraq, Ahmadinejad said at a joint news conference after meeting with Maliki. "Strengthening security in Iraq means strengthening security and stability in the region."
Sounds like good news to me.
We want to pass a message to the Iranian leaders that Iraq needs good relations with neighboring countries, without interference in our internal affairs," Dabbagh said.
Yep, good news indeed. You should be happy.
Before I would trust the Iranians on anything...I would verify.....that Sadr's militia was totally dissolved...
IMHO from what I have seen thus far in Maliki I don't trust him one iota!
Thanks for all of the informative links!
Happy? About what?
I don't find anything here to be gleeful of. I can only watch and listen to developements as they unfold. There is one side involved in this that has made it clear that it wants Israel wiped off the face of the earth and similar feelings to those that support Israel.
Then there is the other side of this that I am not sure where they stand. So personally I find no joy here.

Al-Maliki's welcome was warm in Iran, where he spent part of his yearslong exile from Iraq during Saddam's rule.
The Iraqi premier held a red-carpet reception at the office of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
"All our assistance to the Iraqi people will be to establish complete security" in Iraq, Ahmadinejad said at a joint news conference, according to the state-run news agency.(Judas in disguise)
Al-Maliki said his visit would be "a turning point in the expansion of relations between Iran and Iraq that enjoy historical and ancient ties.
Hi there airborne. You are welcome. Hope life is going well for you and yours!
