President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday invited US President George W. Bush to a uncensored and live television debate. Ahmadinejad said: "I offer Mr Bush to take part in a TV debate with me without any censorship so that we put forward our views on ways to come out of the current international crises".
Ahmadinejad did not take any position to concrete topics like the atomic conflict the Iran. Ahmadinejad criticized that the USA and Great Britain used the UN, in order to force the world upon their will.
Ahmadinejad said: "I offer Mr Bush to take part in a TV debate with me without any censorship so that we put forward our views on ways to come out of the current international crises".
Ahmadinejad's condition: "This TV debate may not be censored for US public".
During the television debate, he would like to discuss possibilities with Bush of diminishing the up-to-date existing tensions.
"We have proposals for resolving the international crises on the basis of justice, dignity and equality of human being," Ahmadinejad added.
Is Ahmadinejad running as a Democrat?
Bush should invite this fella over for some duck hunting with Cheney... lol
I'm not saying Bush holds the inferior position, but Ahmad-whatever is a master at rhetoric and convolution. He would walk all over Bush without a strong moderator, and even the moderator probably wouldn't be able to keep the debate straight.
It's kind of like how whackos like creationist Kent Hovind debate evolutionary scientists in a scientific debate. On science, Hovind is absolutely wrong, showing a gross lack of knowledge, but he can spin everything and throw his opponent off guard enough so the end effect is that the public thinks he won.
I just fear that Ahmadinejad will use a refusal from Bush as proof he is right in the minds of the Iranian people. Ultimately this standoff will be resolved by the moderates in Iran and we should be working towards enabling them to take back their country.
The only reply from Bush needs to be, "Well my B2 can whip your camel"... end of discussion
Every debate needs a topic. I propose:
Resolved: That Iran intends to build nuclear weapons to destroy Israel and the Jewish people, form a global Islamic caliphate to impose Sharia Law and subjugate all remaining Christians and Jews by 2050.
Didn't we already have these debates?
Oh right. That was the 2004 election debates between Dubya and Johnny "Ketchup boy" Kerry.
lmao
or perhaps a 21st century duel, say cruise missiles at 200,000 paces?
Bush should spend the entire time debunking Ahmadinejad's historicity on the Holocaust. And, oh yeah, the debate should be held in the U.S. Ahmadinejad should then be arrested and tried for his part in the 1979 Hostage Crisis.
Hey Mahmoud, just don't bring up Cheney's daughter.
;-)
Just a question: Does anyone know a source where he is is quoted as supposedly saying that he would sacrifice half of Iran to destroy Israel?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, if he ever became the supreme decision maker in his country, would "sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel," Giora Eiland, Israel's former national security adviser, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.
At present, Eiland stressed, the ultimate decision maker in Iran was Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 67, whom he said was "more reasonable." But, Eiland went on, "if Ahmadinejad were to succeed him - and he has a reasonable chance of doing so - then we'd be in a highly dangerous situation."
Preferably an Iranian source?
I think I would take the affirmative side in that debate...the negative looks rather adverse....
Great! They can hold up the round numbers on the bread. Don't let the WWF find out they're available.
