Elsewhere on the fake Middle Eastern news front, the Second Draft has two must-see videos (HT: Instapundit) that look at a famous "news" item from 2000 in which a young Palestinian boy is reportedly shot by Israeli soldiers while crouching behind a barrel. The footage was filmed by a Palestinian cameraman working for a French television station. Upon further examination, like many pictures from that part of the world, the video appears to not be what actually happened.

This kid was turned into a idol in the middle east. They have a statue of him now in some public park in Cairo and his image has been used all over anti-jewish propaganda in the middle east.
In a recruiting film for palestinian suicide attacks, they actually have some actor running through a field flying a kite saying this is that boy in heaven.

I'm not surprised that our own liberal media isn't investigating this.
Investigation is not what journalists do.
I am surprised that other media haven't investigated it, namely fox.

The Pallywood video is incredible. We have seen new reruns in Lebanon.
Fox used to be pretty good, but lately its gotten almost as bad as the regular media. I dont even watch it much any more..
