I don't care who she is interviewing. I wouldn't watch Katie Couric on TV no matter who she is interviewing.

Another foolish media move by the President. When will he learn? The MSM is his enemy, and ours! There can be no good to come of this. Better for him to give an exclusive interview to a blogger, or to FNC.

Katie's 1st 'question': "Okay numb nutz, when did you stop beating your wife? And are you still ashamed for stealing the 2000 election from 'president' Gore?"

"Boxers or briefs?"

I bet Katie wears boxers. (But I don't really want to know the answer.)

;-)

The 'excerpts' by themselves will make President Bush look weak, foolish and unpresidential.

This is tantamount to a scorpion hitching a ride on the back of a duck to cross the river, with a promise not to bite....and we all heard how that one ends.

I think you'll be able to tell a lot from the first few seconds of the interview. It all depends on whether or not Katie is wearing her "smart glasses".

Which just furthers the idea that the evening news is just advertisement.

Just about all media "segments", "exposes", "features" are what those in the biz call Cross Polinization. If they feature a segment about a movie, well, that MSM broadcaster is probably owned by the company that made the movie. It is a daily occurrance and if one has time to check these things out they'll see that this Cross Polinization happens on a daily basis. I'm probably preaching to the choir though. Carry on.

She's a megaserious hernalist now. The smart glasses will be permanently tattooed on her face.

As much as I love Bush, I refuse to watch, listen to, or read about Katy Couric!

LOL. Starting right after you read this thread about her, eh?

"If she's rude and biased, it'll only reflect badly on her"

Not to the die hard liberals. It will continue to support their belief system.

Nope!
It's a good opportunity for Couric to pose a bunch of accusatory questions.
Bush will repeat his mistake of playing nice instead of contradicting her assertions.

She will play nice in the interview but they will go all out against Bush and the war in the rest of the story. While Bush is talking about things getting better, CBS will be airing footage of car bombings and dead bodies.

Yep, and I hate it that Bush is agreeing to this premeditated slaughter. CBS is his enemy and that will never change.

What is the masochistic streak in the Bush Administration that allows the President to be interviewed by his enemies? Clinton would never have consented to an hour interview on the Rush Limbaugh, Gordon Liddy, or Michael Reagan talk shows. Rather than being the evil genius the liberals believe him to be, Karl Rove appears to be hopelessly stuck in the 1970s, when the old Big Three networks, the big liberal newspapers like The Washington Post, and the weekly news magazines had a near monopoly on public information.

Hopefully, the next Republican President will ignore the "drive by media" as surely as he would avoid the supermarket tabloids.

You might be right. The left will not take kindly to Katie "courting" Bush and will more than likely boycott her debut. The right won't be watching, if only for a peak.

CBS will edit to their heart's content and make him look like a bufoon. Bush is crazy to sit with this biased lib. The GOP will never learn.
