This was written in Saudi Arabia. What did Hezbollah and Lebanon really win? Lebanon looks like the shambles, and many are dead.

As this is sourced from Saudi Arabia, and is uncharacteristically critical the Hezbos, fellow opponents of Israel, the only way I can make sense of this is that the House of Saud secretly wished the Israelis would defeat Nazrallah, et al. It seems to me that the Lebanese on site, including Hezbollah, are arguing strongly that they don't want to be pushed into a second war with Israel, which is going to come in the old-fashioned way the next time and reoccupy the south of the country. Everyone wants a confrontation with Israel, but they want someone else to do the confronting. It's like Wimpy's famous line in Popeye: "Let's you and him fight."
