It's an insult to legitimate polling outfits everywhere to refer to anything Zogby puts out as a "poll"

Zogby internet polls = garbage.

Rasmussen shows the race tightening, but Zogby is the joke of the polling industry.

Zogby?! Is this the same ''reliable'' Zogby that had Lurch leading in the polls nearly every day in the run up to the 2004 election?

Another Zogby Internet poll. Doubt this is accurate to within 5 points.

However, SurveyUSA has Allen up 3, and Rasmussen has him up 5. That's a big swing from earlier in the summer.

My best guess is that Allen leads by 4 (and given the "scandal" whose effects will soon be diminishing), 4 points maybe be Allen's low-water mark. Expect him to win by about 7 or 8.

What the 'frack" is this crap? An internet poll in August for a mid-term election? Please.

August polling = worthless. More affluent voters are traveling and normal middle class voters are busy with back to school. Let's see where this stands after Labor Day. Even if it holds up, it won't for long. This isn't the kind of gaffe with lasting value in terms of voter's perceptions. Of course the idiots in the media will keep beating the drum while ignoring Hillary and Biden mocking all Asian Indians as being convenience store clerks.

Looks to me like it's well within the margin of error.

I hope Webb gets his @ss beaten down. This is an insult to the memory of Reagan.

Right.

And Kerry won the 2004 election.

FWIW - I finally saw the "Macaca" thing this weekend. This is the biggest, trumped up, phony story I have ever seen!

As you probably know, I'm the furthest thing from a GOP apologist and will vote 3rd party if given the option, but this story really steams me.

Do I think it's a RINO conspiracy to kneecap the most viable conservative in '08?

Yes.

He'd have jumped ahead by 20 points if he would have just told the Media and the little prick filming him to go pound sand instead of apologizing profusely. If he loses it will becuase he lost his spine.

Zogby poll? Is this the same Zogby who says that 89.2% of Americans distrust the "International Zionist Conspiracy" and want Israel destroyed? ROLFLMAO!

If Webb even dreams about beating Allen, he better wake up and apologize.

I think that the VA Dems want to knock Allen out now so that they will not need to face him in 08.

Remember .. Gore was ahead of Bush and so was Kerry.

The dems have been skewing the numbers by 11-14% for months now .. and so this should be no surprise .. but it has no relation to the truth.

I'd be interested in what Rasmussen may be showing about the race as they have been much more accurate recently.

This poll corresponds with my sentiments of the week regarding Allen. I would never want, support or vote for Webb or any democrat but I will say that Allen has been losing my faith in him since he began caving to the liberals like Trent Lott did and traveled the nation apologising for using a "racist term" he claimed he didn't mean as a racist term. Well, next week I expect him to be in some black church and maybe even supporting racial quotas.

The man has been showing his weakness over the last week to week and a half. Caving into the left is NOT in the interest of the conservative movement. We've had way too much of this even as a majority party.

Enough is enough.

Allen has brought more attention to this whole story since his apologies began than the liberal media ever did by reporting the original story.

There's no doubt the race has tightened. But this is a pile of Clinton.

Zogby was calling Virginia for Kerry on election day in 2004. I was going bat-**** here on FR trying to calm folks down because I knew it was bogus. Bush took Virginia by almost 9 pts.

The Poll, by a "friend" of mine...
