I certainly wouldn't ask the Iman what he meant by so and so. He can spin the answer into anything he wants (or thinks you want to hear). I wouldn't let anyone there know I understood the language. No point to it and not to my advantage. I'd do exactly what she did. Listen, (take notes or tape) and report what was going on. I'd also go to another Mosque and do the same.

She then could have told her story to the local newspaper.

Right!!!!!!!!!!!!How many local newspapers would print the word muslim, let alone print anything remotely negative about the religion of piece.

On another thread someone suggested that Muslim travelers were 'messing with our heads.' That in itself in another form of terrorism. You know, if we impose multiple stringent inspections at the airport, we should be able to enforce basic rules of behavior while on board an airplane in flight. Such rules could prohibit behaviors which suggest terrorist activity or are otherwise disruptive, and would cover all travelers, not just Muslims. There have been a few cases of bizarrely disruptive passengers within recent memory who have been detained and questioned.

Those of us on FR have suspected for some time that this "baiting" has been occurring.
It is being encouraged as a form of "civil disobediance."

Other passengers are now "fighting back" by refusing to fly with such people.

When they do this kind of "civil disobedience", they are making it worse for all arab-looking young men.

OK: "The Muzzies use profiling to accomplish their needs. Muzzies have accounted for the huge majority of all terrorist attacks and deaths. They murder civilians whether children or helpless old people. NO GOD or religion would justify that crap. Root them out and kill/deport them."

Hmmm. Still refers to killing and deporting "Muzzies." Still refers to "muzzies" killing children and helpless old people. Not "some Muslims." Not "Muslim terrorists." Not "Islamist whackadoodles."

Perhaps you'd benefit from putting a bit more thought into your words before typign them out? Would prevent you from saying that which you do not mean.

I fart in your general direction!!!! lol. TERRORISTS, any terrorist must die. I don't care if they are Pentacostal, Agnostic, Mooselimb, Baptist, Methodist, Morman, Scientology or Druid, all terrorists must die.

Now, THERE is a campaign I can get behind.

So, you support the president's war on terrorism? I personally think it has been a bit weakly prosecuted but on the right track. Some DUs are hoping for another attack here to make it look like nothing has been done and then they can make political gain. Ratbastards.

Okay. It is possible, one person's word against another's. Maybe it happened just this way, maybe it didn't.

I know it's a pain-in-the-@$$, but the recent spate of delays,
flight detainments and diversions are a GOOD thing.
It's telegraphing to the terrorists and even the "civil disobedience"
types that making a scene will at least get you detained awhile
and scrutinized a bit.

If anything, I suspect this is ticking off the Jihadis that really
do want to do damage.
The crew AND passengers are on such a hair-trigger that all
threats (real or assumed) are getting smacked down.

A pain-in-the@$$? Yes. But it's a low-cost part of being at war
with a domineering bunch of jerks that have been on the warpath
since the fifth century AD.

> you support the president's war on terrorism?

Not as such. I'd support a war on Islamofascism, but a war on "terrorism?" A war on a *tactic?* You'd do better to wage a war on "poverty."

> personally think it has been a bit weakly prosecuted but on the right track.

OBB view: Crank out nuclear reactors. Launch industrial infrastructure to the lunar surface to begin SPS construction on a massive scale. Dump a few billion dollars into thermal deploymerization ramp-up. Stop sendign money to ratholes oil countries. Withdraw US military presence from all nations that are not either full-up allies or we are currently at war with. Anybody else screws with us, use the lunar infrastructure to drop kilotons of lunar regolith on them at several kilometers per second.

In the end: move on. Let history record that this was a period in which the United States of The Perseus Arm began it's expansion, slightly hindered by an odd and extinct whackadoodle ideology.

In short: do not fight them by ripping ourselves to shreds. Fight them by evolving right on by them. Fight them by ignoring them. Fioght them by showing their ways to be so far backwards that the future of mankind will barely remember them or what they believed in. Fight them by showing that they are meaningless.
