And let's not forget that Senator (up)Chuck Schumer of New York wants to give the U.N. billions to refurbish and renovate their pathetic latter-day Towel of Babel headquarters.
Send Schumer to Lebanon as an honorary UNIFIL observer and let's see what sort of song he sings after he gets back.
Assuming he gets back that is...
Oh be still my fluttering heart.

" The question is: What naive fools ever believed that the UN would do anything useful, let alone anything that would help Israel? Oh, yeah. That putz Olmert and his appeasing fellow travelers like Shimon "give it all away, who cares as long as I can wear $3,000 suits and be in photos with world leaders" Peres. Hawk. Spit."
Couldn't have put it better myself!

"This is why Hezbollah agreed to this. The UN will act as human shields for Hezbollah while they rearm for the next attack." You and others have pointed out this obvious fact. What bewilders me is why Condi and State would follow this lead by a completely corrupt and inept organization.

The ancient Hebrew Scriptures warn repeatedly of a future when all the nations of the world will be gathered together against the restored nation of Israel...
...so the UN will stop Israel... but let Syria bring in weapons to kill innocent civilians...

This so called cease fire is a joke. Israel should go in and get rid of Hezbollah now. They will eventually have to do it anyway. Better now than later.

"Troops are not going in there to disarm - let's be clear," he said. Instead, the Unifil force will only carry out interception missions if asked by the Lebanese government - which has made no such request. Gee really? What would the UN think? That Lebanon, governed by Syria, would ask the UN to stop Syria delivering weapons?

If anyone saw Brit Hume last night, he came right out and said there was no way to 'talk Muslims out of Jihad. They're going to kill us, so we have to beat them. Kill them. (Juan was upset and looked teary-eyed.) Like Nazi's in WWII, we had to smash them. Brit didn't mince words, thank God. It looks as if the kidnapping of the two Fox newsmen had an impact, but not quite what Jihad-Johnny had in mind.

"Syria...has said the deployment of any UN forces near its border would be considered a 'hostile act'."
Would I be mean spirited if I screamed: Good! Let the games begin!
To: conservativecorner
And how much will we be expected to pony up for this mission? I can guess the next UN fraud will be peacekeeping for the destruction of the world.
