PRISTINA, Kosovo, Serbia -- Nine people -- including a British UNMIK policeman, a Dutch woman and two Serbs -- were injured when a hand grenade exploded in a café in the Serb quarter of Kosovska Mitrovica on Saturday (26 August). Police have reported that a suspect was arrested -- according to unofficial reports, he was an ethnic Albanian teenager. Hundreds of Serbs staged a protest at the bridge which divides the Serb and ethnic Albanian parts of the city after the blast. (Reuters, BBC – 27/08/06; Tanjug, B92 - 26/08/06)

Now, here comes as a shock. This is typical of the five phases that I have encountered since working peacekeeping operations.

Five phases in a Peacekeeping operation

1. “Please help us, we need you”! 2. Thank you for coming, we love you! 3. We’re glad you are here, what can you give us? 4. When are you leaving? 5. Leave NOW!

In other words, a muslim terrorist.

"In other words, a muslim terrorist."

well, let's see, yes and no. A quasi-non-practicing Muslim, yes, terrorist, oh yes...so, a Fundamentalism Muslim, naw. A terrorist that happens to be of the Albanian extremist style Muslim. what a description.....

There are Albanians that want peace and to work together with the Serbs. However, they are few and far between. Even they are put under the microscope by their close associates and have to give in or go underground. Balle Kombetar has been the dream since the 40's and passed from one Generation to another.

Okay......a Muslim non-suicidal terrorist.

"What's our exit strategy?"

Sure, exit strategy? Head to Macedonia, then to south Presevo, then towards Russia....:) Clinton never had an exit strategy.

The sad fact is that the situation is simply reverting to the pre-Milosovic status quo. It occurs to that Milosovic's overly aggressive tactics for dealing with Islamic terrorism is what Kofi Annan and the French think that Israel may do to Hezbollah.
