The world takes the murder of a Jew for granted. That is the natural order of things. Its when that natural order of things is violated, is when there is shock, anger, shame and curiously, forgiveness. The subtext here is Palestinian barbarism isn't morally objectionable so long as those killed are Jews. What happened here was murder. But to the world, if a Jew had been murdered, it would have been regarded as "an understandable act of resistance to colonialist oppression."

(No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo! )

Yep, they just changed the word "murder" to "resistance" and made it all okay.

More appropriate to state that "Much of the world takes the murder of a Jew for granted."

Would you know if the Italian government (1) had issued a warning to its nationals traveling in the Middle East before the victim arrived and/or (2) issued an official statement on the killing of Frammartino? I would be surprised if the Italian government echoes the the idiotic sentiments of the victim's family, just as the US government wouldn't parrot the ideology of Rachel Corrie's parents.

Not surprised that Frammartino was raised in an ultraleftist family. That kind of individual has been described for years as a "Red Diaper Baby." Guess it's not an exclusively American phenomenon.
