Poll: Barack Obama (Cover of Men's Vogue)
Men's Vogue ^ | August 2006

The "cover story" isn't on the web, but the link goes to a Freepable poll, and the photos tell the story of a gushing puff piece timed to leverage His trip to Africa.

Why in the heck would anybody in the US be intersted in someone with the name Obama considering our issues with Muslims? I don't care if he currently doesn't practice Islam. I would not be surprised if he gets back to his roots. This is a psycholgical PC manouver? I don't care how much he smiles, this has 'manipulation' written all over it.

"What has he done?"

Doesn't matter.....to the libs. He's a smooth talker, looks good and appears to walk the middle line similar to the media/lib darling Bill.
IMHO, the Dems may be preparing Mr. Obama for a spot on their ticket.

The MSM never mentions the fact that Barack (Messiah) Obama is a socialist. Talk about being force fed a pile of bullS#@t, this is before you're very eyes.

The Sacramento Bee had a front page story on him yesterday. I don't buy the BEE because I don't want to be contributing to the DNC but It looked like a fluff piece too. I'm sure this is all for paving the way for their dream team of Hillary and Obama. Did any of them mention his SUV hypocrisy?

The MSM is still stuck on stupid (honorary Katrina anniversary reference). It thinks it can "annoint" a candidate, when in reality any opponent worth his or her salt will demolish him purely on his voting record.

I am wondering - just who picked-up the tab for his triumphant return to his homeland. I sure as hell hope this was not somehow funded by the US taxpayer.

Agree they're positioning him for veep with Incitatus.

What's weird is that it's not as if the Dems need help with the black vote...

It might be a pre-emptive strike on Condi.

My friend, what has he actually done while in the Senate? Not a Godda#n thing. This guy is nothing more than a media prop with Dick Turbins hand up his ass. I cannot believe people will actually vote for this guy but they will based on nothing. I think 5% of the voting population actually pay attention to these things.

Condi vs. Obama? Talk about an unfair fight!

A smart, accomplished woman vs. a sock puppet.

I always ask this question. What has he done? Nobody can seem to answer it.

Don't feel bad. I did the same with Bill Clinton and look where he ended up. Don't ever overestimate the power of the lying scumbag MSM. Next, watch out for 'her highness' Hillary that MSM will more than likely try to crown queen of the USA. After all, they tried that with the Kennedy family and all of that was a big fat lie. It wasn't until the Internet that we found out that they were nothing but trash though.

I agree with you up until Hitlery. This woman is not liked by Conservatives, Moderates (Libs), Demoncrats (Libs) Republicans etc..

There is nothing attractive about this candidate unless you are a stone cold lesbian. Hitlery is not a threat and she is very over rated by the MSM. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this witch.

Condi wouldn't be a viable candidate for President without some prior elected experience. If Dick Cheney bows out as Veep and GWB makes her Veep, then she'll have a shot at it, but slim (a shame, since I'd like her to run!). But without the Veep spot prior to 2008, the best she'll do as a candidate is the Veep spot under (I'd guess) a white male.

Okay, so how does Hillary counter the appearance of a black woman on the Rep ticket? Put a black man up as Veep candidate for the Dems. Hillary can't afford to lose the black Dem vote.

So I don't think it would be Condi vs. Obama for Pres. But they might be the subtext of a Hillary vs. ?? Presidential ticket.

I wouldn't be surprised if many blacks are turned off by this guy too, at least outside of Mayor Daley's Chicago. C'mon! Barack Obama? There is no way he could win in a national election. He is the definition of an empty suit, and one can wade through his credibility without getting one's ankles wet!

The MSM is in overdrive, orgasmically anticipating a Dem takeover of the government in November. Last week Hillary was on the cover of TIME, this week TIME features a Pelosi puff piece, and now this (alhtough I have to admit I didn't even know there was a MEN'S VOGUE).

"What's weird is that it's not as if the Dems need help with the black vote..."

They need help getting it to TURN OUT and vote. According to the esteemed Common Tator, black turnout is always problematic for the democrats. That's why they work so hard at it by campaigning illegally in black churches and pretending to schmooze with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
