Gingrich's record of shameful personal behavior is not going to win over the family values crowd.

And Zogby didn't put a possible GOP/Indie run by Bloomberg in the mix either.

Zogby just wants Gingrich to run, so he will be pounded by the media for being forced out as speaker and what he was being accused of at the time. It will make him look unelectable and the donks would win then. I like Newt but he is unelectable.

If we no longer have a country,(via illegal immigration invation or terrorists), how much are family values going to matter?

Yes, as soon as holy-voters find out the man best suited to run the country is Newt, their spleens take over. These are the same folks who vote a town dry, and then move.

Gingrich and Giuliani have wildly different positions on a host of issues, but both are unelectable for the same reason:

America will not elect a home wrecker for First Lady.

You got that right. When Gingrich went to Congress, people I know in GA didn't vote for him because of the way he treated his first wife. Then, after several years as US Rep. he more or less did the same thing by getting involved with one of his staff and dumping wife #2. He also declared his admiration for Clinton's charisma and more or less said he had a difficulr time withstanding Clinton when he turned on the charm.

I would never vote for Newt for Pres.--very intelligent, but lacking in integrity and stability.

the family values crowd.

I haven't heard the phrase uttered by a conservative since Dan Quayle, back when Murphy Brown was still a first-run show.

I do see it from time to time on the occasional moonbat's bumper, though.

"Gingrich's record of shameful personal behavior is not going to win over the family values crowd."

You mean Newt's two divorces? Those who live in glass houses, as the saying goes...

Look, the reality is that, in this culture, divorce is almost becoming an inevitability.

Now if he had a loooooong record of cheating and lying, lying and cheating, rape allegations, harassment allegations....then that's different....

....then he just MIGHT BE elected President!! (sarcasm off)

I don't care if Gingrich was caught on video trying to extort a bravo juliet from a legless whore. He is the brightest, most historically knowledgeable and without peer whenit comes to the ability to articulate and mobilize the body politic. While we all like GWB the man, he is no communicator when the times are calling for just that.
