the family values crowd.

I haven't heard the phrase uttered by a conservative since Dan Quayle, back when Murphy Brown was still a first-run show.

I do see it from time to time on the occasional moonbat's bumper, though.

What?! The family values crowd is what gets Republicans elected. Do you believe for a minute that if Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council pulled their support any Republican could win? That's exactly what would happen if Giuliani became the nominee. Family values are not confined to "the occasional moonbat." They are the driving force behind conservatism today.

I was being sarcastic. I am very much part of the "family values crowd," and there is a large group here on FReeRepublic which considers our crowd more dangerous and evil than outright communists. (Didn't take long, in fact, before one of them responded to me on this very thread.)
