I don't think Zogby is very reputable.....

Beyond that, I don't think any of the GOP top 4 can win a general election....

Zogby. What a laugh.

I can see it now: "hey, let's put out that someone for the Repeublicans sure to lose, say Gingrich, is the front runner and in fact it's his to lose."

Zogby's brother; "yeah".

If people think Bush is polarizing, just wait until the things we'll see when Newt runs.

Liberal hatred will be more apparent than ever.

Newt Gingrich, the rolly-polly ex-school crossing guard cum hall monitor, will never be president of the USA. Prolly couldn't even get elected dog catcher in his Georgia district.

And Zogby? Always good to listen to the Islamist enemy posing as a neutral "pollster". F him.

Newt would make a great Secretary of State, or should John Bolton retire, an excellent Ambassador to the U.N., but his own personal baggage would undermine any bid for the presidency. An unfortunate fact of political life.

If not as a running mate, the GOP contender should pre-announce Tancredo as the next head of DHS.

The reality of who are the significant candidates on both sides is truly sobering. The American people have proved themselves smarter over the past few decades than to pick some sitting senator who has been practicing being a pompous windbag. That said, the reality that hit me was that Newt like Clinton talks too much and like Clinton tries to impress everyone with how smart he is. If Clinton got elected twice maybe there is hope for Newt. He seems to understand the importance of illegal immigration and he also understands that Iran and North Korea are serious threats to which the Red Chinese are offering little help in quelling. As a Republican voter, I do not think that I could go to the polls and vote for Giuliani or McCain. I have never voted for a Democrat for President which would be akin to voting for Giuliani and when I was given the opportunity to vote for a crazy man, I passed on Perot, which would be akin to McCain.

This poll is the dumbest thing I've ever wasted 10 seconds reading and 30 seconds typing about.

I guess Newt's a cinch if he can just keep everybody's name off of the ballot.

Pfftttttttt.

Good News! Newt would be terrific. Of course he's strong on foreign policy, and his past depth of analysis and advocacy on issues like health care reform could steal a march on the Dimocrats wrt to some of their favorable domestic issues.

Here's the unusual thing about the Zogby poll released to Whispers: When questioning likely primary voters, only brief biographies and not names were given. In other words, voters picked the one with the best experience. Without her name recognition working for her, Clinton came in a miserable sixth out of 10."

A very gamey poll. Not oriented to the real world. We do use names at election time you know. Too easy to skew answers on basis of question information. Is this guy an Arab or isn't he? The filter question should have been, "Do you have enough information to select a candidate for President at the present time?" Or, "List the Democrat and Republican candidates for President."

Zogby, a tool of the democratic left...

Were Gingrich to run or even not run, since Zogby is pushing his name, is to trump up Gingrich's moral problems

Since the democratic party is a believer in moral equivilance, then Gingrich is to the republicans what the Clintons (Bill & Hillary) are to the democrats. Thus, both sides have equal moral problems, but that is OK since we are picking Leaders and not moralists.

Expect Zogby and other henchmen to attempt to promote morally imparied republicans as a way of improving the status of their own creeps.

The entire premise of this "poll", and its conclusions, is laughable.

Zogby cannot be taken seriously.

Zogby: the first to call '04 for Kerry. The guy is a shameless jihad-democrat along with his smarmy brother who runs CAIR. I think he called one major election correctly, and on this is based what he likes to think of as a reputation. Scum.

this ignores important reality - that name-recognition IS important. Without it GWBush would never have become president.

Come on people. You know who the best candidates are. They are the ones NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT. Rick Santorum and Mike Pence are probably the nation's strongest conservatives and they can articulate our values. Pence is a socon who can easily win the libertarian vote and Ricky is a major socon who can win the moderate vote (he's been doing in PA with some success). If he can pull off the election this fall...watch out. Romney and Huckaby seem to be the most best candidates so far, but can they win? Please, oh please, all you Guilianibots and McLame lovers...stop. Now. They are so smokin' left. They're both good guys but aweful republicans.

Gingrich is compromised. Ever since shaking Slick Willy's hand in front of those seasoned citizens back in the 90s, he was compromised.

In other news, Zogby special polling style predicts that the NFL quarterback will marry Alice the Goon. By having those surveyed pick out a mate based on statements but no pictures, dates, or conversations....

Might sound good on paper, but reality virtually never works that way.
