Former US President Carter 'Disappointed' With Blair By VOA News 27 August 2006
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says he is "extremely disappointed" with Tony Blair for what he says is the British prime minister's failure to constrain President Bush's policies toward Iraq.
Mr. Carter, an outspoken critic of the 2003 U.S.-led Iraq invasion, was quoted Sunday in Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper. He said he thought that Mr. Blair could have had a moderating influence on Washington, "and he has not."
Mr. Blair has been President Bush's closest international ally on Iraq, and Britain has the second largest contingent of troops in the country.
Mr. Carter said people in many countries he has visited equate U.S. policy with British interests,

It is very troubling to me that he is a graduate of the USNA.
Jimmy decided that being the worst President of the 20th Century was not enough for him. He is clearly the worst ex-president of the 20th Century.
I would love to see the definitive book on Mr. Carter and his myriad failures. My guess is that most objective and scholarly historians would have a hard time saying anything good about his presidency.
I almost forgot. There is a good side to Jimmy Carter. He was the last Democrat I ever voted for, for any office. Before Carter, I had never voted for a Republican. (Ronald Reagan gets some credit as well).
I understand that Carter wrote most of Arafat's speaches.
He just never shuts up.
This is a compliment to Blair and President Bush. Carter is the biggest failure EVER as a President and Past-President. And that is saying a lot when you realize Bill Clinton is part of that group. Carter would be laughable if her were not such an embarassment to our country and a force for failure in Iraq.
What's an idot?
Now we Abu Jimah Al Carterawi, the creator and associate Mullah of Iran, is chewing our ears.
After an extended volley, advantage to Carter here at the Suckingham "Worst Former President" Tennis Invitational.
Clinton looks grim but downs a Big Mac & waits for the serve--now he throws down his racket, storms over to the umpire and says,
"We are not as beloved in the world as we have been in recent years."
Point to Clinton! 40 deuce . . .

Now Abu Jimah Al Carterawi...........
"It is very troubling to me that he is a graduate of the USNA."
As a USAFA grad, I sympathize with you!
Well, Dire Straits came out with Sultans of Swing during his presidency. That was the beginning of the end of disco. Which started on Ford's watch.
I love "Jimmy Carter! Peace be Upon Him!"
I love my fellow Mullah, Sheikh Nasrallah

As Lillian Carter said, "after seeing the children I spawned, I should have remained a virgin."
She sounds like the only Carter that had a brain.
How many are disappointed with everything Jimmy has done and said in his entire pitiful life?
(I thought so.)
Carter sounds like a senile old fool.
I doubt that Carter will live long enough to witness the outcome of the "War on terror" or the war in Iraq.
Carter is a senile old fool...not to mention sanctimonious, self-righteous and hater of all things American. His anger and self-righteousness never fail to amaze me.
