First the rats have no plan! They have nothing but down with GW and the War all the time. You have to have a plan, an alternative idea, strategy, or something! The rats have and are saying nothing.

Agreed.  Nothing there other than Cut and Run.  Notice too, every time a Democrat offers what he or she would specifically do, they say they would be doing what President Bush is already doing.  If asked, their only comeback is somehow they would be doing it better.

I think all that Ileana was trying to do was see to it that we in the Keys were not penalized more than necessary and did not pay an inordinate amount for our already super high premiums. There should be some reality between a premium and the cost to an insurer given a monopoly situation like there is in S.Fla. She just wanted us to have a fair deal. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

#161, I would not say favorable to this Administration, but especially on Fox they are telling all of the bad things that happened because of Previous Administrations and Corruption in NOLA and the entire State of Corruption. Even Shieffer on Slay the Nation was almost half fair and balanced until the end when he unloaded a bunch of crappola about the Hezzies giving money to the bombed out Lebanese People. He was pathetic in his praise of freaking terrorists as opposed to a Bureaucracy that has to live with rules, regulations,Unions, checks and balances, and a totally biased drive by media bunch of pukes that have no other job it seems than to side with the enemy. The New FEMA Guy has all the credentials that mostly shut up these ignorant creeps that call themselves Journalists. This guy from FEMA looks like he could step right out of his Suit and into all his fireman's Gear and grab a hose and Hatchet. He might need to keep those things handy if he has to deal with the DBM much, especially with Ernesto picking up steam. I think Louisiana probably stupidity, corruption and irresponsibility is the main reason why the NHC director is leaving at 56. He looks like he aged 10 years since Katrina, and if those dorks in LA had done what he and GWB asked, it would have been a really different scenario 1 year later.

Glad you found the bus photo appropriate for your great thread!

I've been lurking your Sunday threads lately...except this morning, when I've been in early storm prep mode.

The MSM has lots of circus acts this week between celebrating Katrina's anniversary and getting in the way of Ernesto preparations. I hope the next governor of FL has been paying attention to Jeb's tremendous leadership skills, particularly during storm prep and aftermath. The new FL governor is going to have some BIG shoes to fill.

And most Americans do not count Iraq as seperate from the war on Terror.

That's was something Russert's round table were attempting to spin. Eugene Robinson said "more and more Americans are seeing a distinction between the War on Terror and the Iraq War. They see the War in Iraq as strictly Bush's war." All the others, including Bob Novak, smugly nodded their heads.

This is the DBM attempt to focus Americans away from Iraq as if we're not fighting terrorists there at all. I have a question for them and anyone stupid enough to fall for this position:

What do they think will happen to the GWOT if we cut and run from Iraq?
Do you really think things will get better for us?
Do you think Al Qaeda won't howl with pleasure and proclaim this as THEIR defeat of the USA?
Do you think this won't embolden the terrorists against us?
Do you really want to destabilize the Middle East, in your frevor to "get" Bush, that you're willing to imperil the USA and the West?
If you get your way in Iraq, how will that help a democrat later in 2008 if the US is considered the loser in the war, and it was your party that ensured this?

Yo, Dems and DBM, you really don't know what you're doing, do you? Actions have consequences. Look before you leap.

All I can say is I can put clothes on to keep warm. You can take only so much off before you get arrested and little kids stand around laughing at you.

The downside is fish in CO all look like bait to you down there.

#171, right again, Mccain will never get the Pubbie base to support him. We do not trust our lives, and our Childrens,Grandchildren's lives and future to a whacko. Though some of the Conservatives that are the base are really mad at Pubbies in the last year or so, they will still vote for Pubbies to keep Pelosi, frank,Kennedy,et al out of power, but never vote for Mccain, he is too unpredictable and cannot be counted on for anything.

Yeltsin and slick willie looted the country BIG TIME. Nothing has changed. Putin is more devious about it while Yeltsin was obvious!

There has not been democracy in Russia for thousands of years and the people are still not used to functioning in a normal way. There is too much corruption ingrained in the way of life.

The Russians who emigrate to the US bring their underground, thuggish behaviour with them.

We have seen pictures of desperate Cubans floating on makeshift rafts, cars, inner tubes, etc. to get to freedom.

Did you ever wonder how the democrats got so quickly organized with their Katrina attack? I think I have the answer.

What we saw last year was simply what they had planned to do when there was another terrorist attack. Remember, back in 2001 Cheney said he was sure we would be hit again. Given what the democrats expected would happen, they got to work.

Remember all of the whining about how the ports weren't secure? That came from Kerry. Remember the griping about the lack of money for first responders? That came from Hillary.

I think that they expected another attack and had their talking points all ready on how it was Bush's fault we had been attacked by terrorists.

When it didn't happen, they dusted their plan off and used it for Katrina.

Remember this. If we ARE attacked again. expect to see a Katrina replay. You won't see the type of coverage you saw on 9/11; instead you will see lots of hysterical coverage by Geraldo and Shep, and lots of finger-pointing and personal attacks by the democrats.
