Well, the comment has been made that it was 'young men fervent in their religion' who were behind this (not verbatim) and in all probability, I doubt that anyone was released from prison or $$$$$ paid for their safety or whatever...from the flowery tone of the so-called 'conversion video', that was probably enough to satisfy the terrorist-wannabes...I bet Hamas was really ticked off at these kids for doing this, and this was the best face-saving way to bring this whole ordeal to an end.

Actually, I read on another thread that Hamas was probably fully involved in it and knew the kidnapper, who has a long terrorist track record; furthermore, supposedly ransom was paid for them, through the UK. I don't know if this is true, but it would seem, from what they said, that the "three concessions" would have been letting the kidnapper go free, paying the ransom, and having the reporters declare their conversion to Islam.

This line of thinking will lead to more violence, IMHO. Hamas should be b*tchslapped hard. Alas, the moral relativists will continue to prevail. There will be absolutely no repercussion for Hamas. This will be rightfully considered a win for radical Islam. So long as we westerners do not offend the sensibilities of Islamics, or heaven forbid humiliate them; we will be assured of peace in our time.

Allow me to posit this query: When an Islamic nation has the ability to deliver multiple nuclear weapons to the USA, is it morally correct for every Senator, Congressman, and member of the Judiciary and Executive to speak the words of adherence to Islam? For should they refuse, millions might die. The western media just got out in front of the government by acquiescing first.

The silence is deafening. I do not, and have not advocated any specific faith. Yet it is very telling that few will openly condemn radical Islam. I am compelled to ask the question again.

Would it be morally correct for every member of our elected government to convert to Islam, in order to preserve the mortal being of at least one person?

If you're able, you can search for the last video broadcast of Centanni prior to his abuction.

You can see two men...one in a black and white horizontally stiped shirt that walk in and out of the frames on several occasions and look back.

Probably them....
