Now, to all the brave folks in front of their keyboards with a mug of hot cocoa speaking out how brave THEY would be in this particular situation, let me say, you have absolutely no idea what you would do in that situation. What's that mental condition when taken hostage, oh yeah, STOCKHOLM SYNDROME.

Anyway, it is possible one could resist conversion and quite possible be beheaded and have it said they converted to islam anyway. Which goes to the lack of planning on behalf of the kidnappers. The smart thing to do would be to get the conversion, THEN behead/kill the convert to prevent "retraction" or backsliding.
