Great news to wake up to.

Hmmm..... I guess facially he really doesn't look like David. It must have been the hair.

Amir Taheri wrote that in the forties, had the Palestinians not listened to "the Arab street", they would have had statehood.

Have you COMPLETELY lost your mind?
These are journalists, one who's 60 years old, who were hardly treated as "guests" from Centanni's own description, had guns placed to their heads and FORCED to convert to Islam.
If you listened during his interview with Shep Smith, Centanni said many times "Thank GOD" he didn't say Thank Allah.
You're either incredibly naive or as others have commented a thread hijacking troll. Either way, your asinine comments have no business on a thread celebrating the release of these two.

Great news to wake up to. Ain't it, though? My hope that there might be some sanity among the nutlobs that we can work with!

Great job with the picks....the look on Centanni's face on this shot in particular tells the entire story IMO.

In the 40's they were offered statehood, instead they choose to fight Israel.
Arafat was offered statehood, borders etc, instead he choose the Intifada.
As I said, I'm sick to death of hearing about the plight of the Palestinian people, they've brought bit of hardship they face on themselves.

Whatever. Take it to another thread please.
Huh???
The coerced "conversion" -- and the implications for them, and others involved with them -- is a critical, integral part of this story! It's as on-topic as can be!
(And if it's NOT on-topic, your efforts are wasted here, where only a relatively few viewers see that which you do not want seen. You really need to get on the horn to Roger Ailes and tell him to reign in his on-air personalities, who mention it every few minutes, where it's seen by thousands, if not millions of viewers!)

Glass is half-empty negativistic armchair warrior talk mixed with tough guy nostalgia. "Back in my day we knew how to kill them enemies and make 'em stay dead. Them Japs and Huns knew they was dead when we was done with 'em. And we did it walkin' 20 miles through the snow on our way to school ..."
We're in the middle of a war whose ultimate outcome is yet to be determined and yet you're comparing it in hindsight to the outcome of a war long since over. We don't know whether or not future generations will look to Iraq and Afghanistan as allies like we look to Japan and Germany today. History will record the outcome of this war--not doom and gloomers like you, not here, not today.
PS - Ask Zarqawi, Uday, Qusay, and Saddam if we backed off when we had them cornered.
