Whether he is recuperating or not, he won't live forever. Time waits for no man. Castro will die, as will we all, sooner or later. There will be a "Post Castro Era" regardless of what Chavez or Dan Rather hope.

Hopefully, the people of Cuba will soon be able to throw off the shackles of communism.
