Insurance companies are robbing people, taking in huge increases in premiums and refusing to pay claims is SOP, as long as the keep greasing Gallaghers and the state GOP's pocket.

Wonder if Davis will do anything about it, its simple enough, either companies sell windstorm or they don't sell anything in FL and set up a state insurance program fo windstorm ony similiar to federal flood insurance with similiar premiums.

Why is it I can but 150K of FFI for about 300 bucks a year but the same windstorm now costs 3000?

I have a buddy who's a state lawyer up in Tallahassee and he says the talk is leaning towards a state windstorm pool and let private industry cover the other details. I don't have details so until something solid comes down from there who knows what shape it will take. All I can say is that you can't let every homeowner take a $250-400 a month hit and expect anything good or prosperous come from it. It can only be described as a crisis and needs to be treated as one.
